    Best candidates this season:

    Josh Baez
    Chase Davis
    JJ Wetherholt
    Pete Hansen
    Hancel Rincon (if healthy)
    Cade Winquest
    Austin Love

Other options: Gastellum, Velez, Watson, Kross, Jesus Baez, Pugsley (desperate times call for desperate measures)

Baez I think is really a must add to know if the team wants to add him to the 40 man. I think Blaze Jordan is most likely headed to the AFL. Still iffy if he is a 40 man add to me and I want to see him in the AFL.

If Lin is fully healthy, I think I send him to help him get some innings and try to get a little something out of an almost wasted year. Gastelum is another guy I could see them adding to see if they can fast track him into the pen next year at some point.

I don’t think I send Wetherholt. 1st full pro year so I would give him an offseason to rest and recuperate before he is the starting 2B / 3B next year. I would rather send some fringe 40 man candidates and players like Austin Love / Lin who need to make up for lost time.

I see that I got zero names correct. Zero seems pretty bad.

DJ Carpenter I kind of like. But that one still came out of nowhere.

Clemente, Lin, and Saladin I understand. Had Lin been healthy at the time, I would have picked him. Saladin had a rough season but was much better over the past 2 months. Clemente is a solid reliever prospect.

But Tarlow? Really? And Ugueto? Totally shocked. And Brandt? Maybe but I just don’t see it.

Is this the least exciting group the Cardinals have sent to the AFL? Other than Lin, I don’t think I’d be checking in to see how guys do much at all.

Last year was a little troubling on the pitching side with guys like Cornwell and Baker going, but part of that was due to injuries. All the others they sent were interesting. I’m with you “25”. Not excited about this year’s version. Lin is exciting. He is a real prospect who has at least a shot of making a big league impact. Clemente and Saladin are modestly interesting. They probably at least get a cup of coffee in a MLB bullpen someday. Maybe Carpenter is modestly interesting? He’s been hurt for a couple seasons and is basically in his first year now and results have just been ok, but there’s some hidden potential there. I don’t care at all about the other 3.
