March 29, 2024 at 2:37 pm #245395Saggese plays SS this afternoon. That should be worth 5 or 6 more pages of an already too long thread.
March 29, 2024 at 2:52 pm #245397Yesterday at AutoZone Park, Memphis Redbirds manager Ben Johnson and key #STLCards prospects addressed the media, outlining their hopes for the 2024 season. The Cardinal Nation’s Curtis Chamblee shares his report. (free) https://t.co/PTArhLgoQy pic.twitter.com/vMEncWp0tv

March 29, 2024 at 2:53 pm #245398The good news is that anyone can skip any thread that does not interest them.
March 29, 2024 at 8:35 pm #245450Baker picks up right where he left off at Memphis in 2023….single and a HR in 4 AB.
March 29, 2024 at 8:43 pm #245451Someone said he’ll have to rip 60 HR’s at Memphis before the Cardinals will promote him…
March 30, 2024 at 8:03 am #245523The #STLCards system was 1-0 on Friday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day is Memphis 2B José Fermín, 2-for-4 with two RBI in the Opening Day home win. Other standouts include Michael McGreevy, Luken Baker and César Prieto. (free daily game recap) https://t.co/qsitPGha2s pic.twitter.com/NLYblzJ9ml

March 30, 2024 at 8:05 am #245524It has been said before, but it is still surprising they didn’t give Baker more of an audition late last season. Given the combination of the lost year and a lot of injuries, there should have been at-bats to be had. It might have helped with the Goldy decision, too.
March 30, 2024 at 3:48 pm #245596I agree about Baker. There is no reason he shouldn’t have gotten a lot of AB’s after the trade deadline last year. With Goldy now in his walk year the Cardinals need to know if Baker is a long term option or not. They act like they have already made up their mind.

cardsfan64ParticipantMemphis roster is looking pretty good right now. If their pitching holds up, they will make some noise this year!
March 30, 2024 at 4:38 pm #245615I agree c64. They have some big bats in Baker and Gomez and several intriguing pitchers who could make an impact in STL before the end of the year.
March 31, 2024 at 7:41 am #245762For the 2nd consecutive day, The Cardinal Nation’s #STLCards minors Player of the Day is Memphis 2B José Fermín, who was 2-for-4 with two HR and four RBI. Other standouts in the five-home run home win include Jared Young, Pedro Pagés & César Prieto. (free) https://t.co/d0SWAfPHPm pic.twitter.com/QZDF0lAfVp

March 31, 2024 at 12:21 pm #245793It would probably take another injury or two for Fermin to make it back to Stl but it is good to see him coming out of the gates strong in Memphis.
April 1, 2024 at 8:37 am #245949When a middle reliever is the Player of the Day, it usually signals a loss…
The #STLCards system was 0-1 on Sunday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, RHR Ryan Loutos, threw two perfect IP in Memphis’ 6-2 home loss. After five home runs on Saturday, the offense was held to just three singles, two from Matt Koperniak. (free) https://t.co/YvyFUaaSSg pic.twitter.com/yJDM40vF7L

cardsfan64ParticipantGoing to the game in Indy tonight! Didn’t see a thread for this weeks games, so I guess I will post updates here unless one appears.
April 2, 2024 at 6:38 pm #246169The Cards will announce the rosters for their other 3 minor league teams but the Peoria game doesn’t look promising.
We're doing great over here in Wisconsin!… Everything is fine!… 😳 #wisconsin #timberrattlers #milb #snowday #why #itsnotfair #tratnation pic.twitter.com/RidPKuqbvU

MrperkinsParticipantI gotta say, the Springfield Cardinals have a really good ticket program this year. Their ticket sales have been slowly declining each year but it is still a good field and great atmosphere. Got to listen to the GM make his pitch to a group of us and I gotta say, I was impressed
