Get Waino out. He got through 5 with the lead but the Orioles seem to be catching up to him. Let’s go for a win in the game.

The DP to end the 4th is a perfect example why Winn should be the SS for years to come. Without his arm to start the DP, they don’t get the out at first and the inning would have continued.

Geez, the .368 BAbip gets higher. They have fortunate grounders working well.

Oli had a good pull and nice 6th with the pen. Adam competed well, was enjoyable.

I really like this Richie Palacios kid. Great name – cool look with those glasses. Athletic and a lively bat. Hope he gets a legitimate shot to make the club next Spring.

Man Winn had a hitter’s count, 3-1, and took a pitch right down the middle. Gotta be ready to jump on the 2-0 and 3-1 pitches. Those are the counts where the good hitters fatten up their numbers.

The bullpen could have a 6.00 ERA over these last three innings and we will still bring home #199.

Is that our old buddy Reggie Sanders coaching at first for the former St Louis Browns club?

Nice comeback by Libby after the leadoff double. Like the way he looks out there. Big, throwing with authority. Has that first round look to him.

Wainwright left with a 1 run lead. They need two more innings of goose eggs to get him to 199.

Waino finally gets 199 – almost three months since he got 198. Great to see! Hopefully #200 comes in his next start and he can ride into the sunset with a nice milestone and be the third Cardinal hurler to get 200.

“Wainwright left with a 1 run lead. They need two more innings of goose eggs to get him to 199.”

Once we made it 5-2, even if we had given up a couple and the final was 5-4, Waino would have gotten the W. Only if they tied it would he no longer be the pitcher of record.

    Brewers home.
    Padres road.
    Reds home.

He needs one of those three to get to 200.

    Bless his heart.

    Maybe 199 was the toughest.

Now that he just needs the one – maybe it’ll happen with his next start….

Anyone know why Contreras and Gorman were taken out of the game? I can’t watch Baltimore games, Washington or Atlanta games her in North Carolina.

This was the most fun game to watch all season long.

No, his name is Anthony Sanders. He did play in MLB for Toronto and Seattle, but with less success than Reggie.

Gorman has hamstring tightness. Contreras has a bruised hand and is day-to-day.

Congrats to Wainwright. I’m glad it was a perfectly legit win, nothing cheap or contrived.

    Congrats to Babe Ruth Palacios.

99 year old Paul Goldschmidt = 631 PAs, Nolan Gorman = 464 PAs.
