Well Nolan Gorman might have just put this one away – a monster 0 and 2 three sun shot. Cards in double figures two nights in a row!

There is no reason to throw anything but strikes when you are up by 5 in the eighth.

VerHagen looks like he sort of aims the ball. Pitches kind of straight up. Seems like he needs to pull down more – use his legs and body more and take the strain off his arm. But hey, I am just a fan, not a pitching coach. I am sure Dusty has him all squared away. 😀

Wow, Walker gets rung up on a pitch a good foot outside. That thing never came close to the plate.

All of my preseason baseball fortune telling gypsy visions are beginning to materialize with the Dodgers and Braves clearly in command of their respective divisions. The Cubs are getting a bit closer to my Nostradamus type foresight of them winning more games than the Brewers and the Astros seem to have finally subdued the Rangers in the ALW, although the Mariners seem determined to shed a little doubt on my crystal ball. Even my favorite AL team the O’s have proven my most reluctant prediction to be a future reality as they’ve made me proud with their stance atop the ALE. The Twins were a given in the ALC, so I won’t boast about that one. But none of that really matters as I was foolish enough to wager the unquestioned accuracy and integrity of my beloved crystal ball on the defacto guarantee that the Redbirds would most certainly be the dominant force from bell to bell in the NLC…I place the entire amount of blame for this unfortunate shortcoming on the current Cardinal manager and have been close in touch with every evil baseball gypsy that I know to make certain he isn’t around to cloud my visions in ’24…”I can tell you that!”

Woot – ruining the fun for a few Braves fans who were thinking “easy win”, lol.

I was always of the mindset that those who are foolish enough to wager on baseball were the ones that really get skint up by games like tonight’s.

I dozed off and missed Winn’s 1st HR. Good for him. I see their starter exited early. Did he get injured?

I didn’t see the first 5 innings, Bling, but the box says 65 pitches in 2.2 IP’ed in which he allowed 6 ER’s on 6 hits, 3 BB’s and a HR, so maybe Snitker went and got him to spare seeing his best SP’er take anymore punishment.

Lawrence, give up the first single, which scores 2 runs.. walks a guy, and then
give up a home run. why is he there..??? fastball of 89-90, and is too predictable.

Stats are so skewed sometimes. Amazing how you can get a “W” as a starting pitcher with this line..
    5.0inng, 7hits, 5runs,3walks,2k’s,1hr.
So now this is ok because the offense came to life, for now… but, if the runs had been more average, this is probably a Loss, and Hudson would get more fingers pointed at him.
    what a game.>!!!!!
