Obviously, we are going to need a replacement for Liberatore. This could be interesting.

Small sample size but I have noticed that the ball really jumps off of the bat of Palacios. I hope he keeps it going before they figure him out.

Cards up 3-0 early. Single by Goldy and a 2-run double by Palacios.

GScottar – there’s a good reason I rated him as the number 2 guy I’d like to keep out of all the guys at the back end of our 40-man roster (after Hudson). He really is an interesting player and he can play all positions well.

There was apparently some kind of shooting in the Pittsburgh area. The article said hundreds evacuated. I assume this did NOT affect the Cards/Pirates game?

The Doppler Radar shows a BIG pile of green stuff in the Pittsburgh area. This one might be delayed for quite awhile.

I just got back from the Amish restaurant so the only thing to do is light up a cigar and watch the Reds and Angels game from El Segundo. Ohtani is pitching the afternoon game of the DH.

More players on the field than fans in the seats.

Good job of small ball to add a run in the ninth. Don’t see that too much, but these new guys ike Palacios and Winn don’t know its supposed to be a homer a week and not much in between. The staff will work on fixing them this winter.

I like a Winner! Pitching pretty good. Really like how JoJo really goes after em to close.Doesn’t throw many balls. Edman dead at the plate today. Don’t know about lead off for him.A flash of Vince Coleman imitatiion Masyn Winn rbi in the 9th and streaking to first to beat out a double play! I hate to rag on Knizner as catchers work so hard behind the plate as he had 2 BLD (bases loaded dud) today.Guess he can have a pass today since we won. Had alot of traffic today we didn’t cash in on but it looked better
Go Cardinals! Good job by Thompson too!

Checked the box. Really bad day for Edman, but this Palacios kid is raising some eyebrows. Good line from Thompson. Glad to see that after his struggles last time.

Thompson has a much better chance of being a solid 4 or 5 than Liberatore IMO! Matthew has had enough chances! We should move on!

Thompsons last start was almost identical to todays start, in fact that’s three in a row solid starts.

    FYI,
In his Giants debut today DeJong hit a two run homer and a two run single in the 10th.

    So, uh, good luck Giants…….
