Nothing to it. Just score 10 runs and go back to the hotel laughing. What’s complicated about that?

I just got back from watching the Oppenheimer movie. Big thumbs down. Disappointing.

I hope the Redbirds don’t disappoint me tonight as well. That would be two in one day.

Julius smoked too many cigarettes, Rats. I would imagine during the course of a movie those things would choke out the sweet aroma of those fancy cigars…Haha!

I guess not even an atom bomb can make the life and times of a scientist entertaining for 3 hours.

I would have pegged Rats as a Barbie fan.

Oh that’s funny, Oliver! It pains me to say this, but simply put, this is not a game we can win. Even though I know the outcome, if I were a betting man, I still could NEVER bet against our Cardinal. I’ll call it 6-3 Arizona with Jordan Walker playing a little long ball with a towering solo tater.

Walker looks more comfortable out there than he did. That’s a good sign. A tater would be an even better sign.

How can DeJong swing and miss at a pitch right down the middle? He probably never played pepper once in his life.

Tuned in late and I see AZ has, “The guy under the seats” on the mound tonight. He’s pretty good…And funny too!

Whoa! I just looked at a couple of comments from earlier in the thread…Brummer stole home?

That 1-2 breaking ball from Matz to Thomas for the swinging K may have been the best pitch I’ve ever seen him throw. Glad I didn’t miss it.

I was half kidding, but also half serious about that 1-2 Matz pitch for the swinging K. It was a top tier breaking pitch to a left-handed hitter. I’d have to guess that Gwynn would’ve had trouble getting piece of that offering.

Nootz looked like he was going to toss that baseball into the stands for a souvenir after he squeezed it for the 3rd out, but then he kept it and trotted towards the Redbird dugout. Someone probably hollered an insult and he changed his mind…They’ll do that out there in the OF stands. I’ve seen and heard fans torment a visiting OF’er all game long out there…Haha!

Another Cardinal iteration of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Listened to the DBacks broadcast and they were singing birthday boy Lovullo’s praises in the bottom of the 8th on how he was looking one and two batters ahead of the Cardinal brain trust as it was happening. Said Lovullo knew Cards would pitch around pinch hitter Canzone, which would set up Carroll as the next pinch hitter. Of course Carroll then made them look smart by delivering the game winning triple.

I saw Oppenheimer and it should be nominated for best picture, Cillian Murphy for best actor and Robert Downey Jr. for best supporting actor.

When you only steal home once the whole game you can’t expect to win.
