Bader fishing on that low outside again. They rung him up on one outside ge didn’t swing at. It was really a ball.
Nados had some tough defensive plays today behing outside edge of the shift. He may be pushing himself at the plate. Needs to just think make contact.

Its a winner! Payback from last night. Mikolas looked good till he ran outa gas in the 5th. Thompson did very well relieving. 14 runs on 15 hits! Cubs actually had 11 hits. Spread out I guess. Go Cardinals!
Another great game by the leading NL MVP Candidate, Mr. Goldschmidt.
And a nice shout out to Zack Thompson. He really saved our pen by finishing the last 4 innings. Mikolas really labored to get through 5.
Yea can’t overlook what Thompson did. Not having to use anybody else makes a lot of difference over the next three games.
Have given up 12 runs in two games, but split scoring 19. Red to tighten up some on the hill, to quote Archie Bell and the Drells.
Man, Goldy has found the fountain of youth. I wonder if this will be his career year at age 33 (or whatever age he is).
Wow, it’s been 20 years already since the passing of Darryl Kile. For me, it was one of those ominous occasions where I vividly recall exactly where I was when I first heard the news. I was on the road and going thru the Burger King drive thru lane in Columbus, Wisconsin. Most importantly, I wonder how his wife and children are doing in 2022?
Pugs, when I heard the news about Kile I was waiting in the drive through line at Jack in the Box at Chippewa and Kingshighway in St. Louis. The same place I was when I heard the news of Challenger exploding years prior. The thing is, I never go to Jack in the Box and cannot recall ever having been at one besides those two times.
I didn’t know Jack in the Box was in St. Louis, Bling. Back at ASU, we had a little group of us who would venture out to LA on weekends fairly often. We’d arrive to Huntington Beach on Friday evenings, and like idiots go swimming near their big pier at night. Anyway, every Saturday morning we would go eat tacos at the Jack in the Box right across the street from the pier. I wonder if it’s still there? Yes, the Challenger disaster was another rare event where you vividly recall where you were. Reagan being shot was another. I wasn’t around when John Kennedy was shot, but I would imagine that awful event would be the most memorable for those who were ten or older at the time.
