Yep 1td, it’d be nice if Edman turns it back around to where he was a 2 or 3 weeks ago. Same is true for a few others. Edman was one of the few to have a good day at the plate in last year’s wild card. Maybe wild card is his thing!

2 really nice AB’s by Edman. Letting the ball get deep and going opposite field.

I’ve been saying hit him 2 behind Donovan and Nootbaar 5th for a bit. 1 get Edman better pitches possibly right in front of Goldschmidt and Arenado and 2 move Dickerson down to 7th.

Cards667…I’ll go along with that, but I also like Nootz in the 9 slot.

EuroDandy…I agree. He was the entire offense in that WC game.

1TD, that’s a tough trivia question. I don’t think you are referring to Red’s real name being Albert.

forsch31…WINNER! HAHA…Man you’re good! That’s correct. Hey, I also saw your post about directions crossing the river over into Illinois. I left a reply on that thread. Get back to me if I can help.

Holy cow! I leave y’all for 10 minutes with a 3-1 lead and take Ozzy out for a pee, come back to a 5-3 deficit. Not good guys!

Bringing Liberatore back out after that 4th inning seems like punishment. Maybe he can settle back down. He gets the first batter to ground out, but then another Pirate hits one on the screws. Then he erases the hit with a GIDP. I’d take him out after that and let him finish on a good note.

Since Dan and Brad are rambling on and we’re last night with the fan that caught Albert’s last home run and they asked him what he wanted for the ball. I was talking to my son about what he’d want. He said his would be to take BP and practice on the field with Albert and Yadi. I thought that was a pretty good idea.

Liberatore impresses me as not yet ready for the Big Leagues. This is his 7th starting turn and he’s yet to work past 5 IP in any of them. In addition to that, in a total of only 34.2 IP this season he’s allowed 5 HR’s and 18 BB’s. Not a good combo. He’s only 22, so maybe in a year or two.

Some of those called balls on Liberatore could have been called strikes. And if that had happened, the inning would have been a lot different, IMHO.

DeJong looking like a sandlot player on the spin and throw nowhere near first base.

1TD, Poplar St Bridge is the one that takes I-64 and I-55 over the Mississippi?

Deluzio hasn’t looked good at the plate. He swings thru some hittable pitches, so the timing must be off. They are probably changing speeds keeping him from dialing in, and he isn’t able to adjust. I’d think Noot and Carlson would be enough CF coverage for the short series coming up.

Hopefully Ollie will send Albert up in the 9th. Its too bad the only guy who can hit is retiring.

Yah but you need to be able to PH for Dickerson vs lefties (Yepez for me) and then keep Yepez glove out of the outfield with DeLuzio.

If Yepez were to get on, pinch run DeLuzio immediately, he should be in the field the next half inning anyway.

Woodford shuts them down. 2 IP, 1 H, 0 BB.

forsch31…Yeah, both of those interstates cross the river on that bridge. I64 is the same as US40 when you’re eastbound.

Missed this one but glanced through the boxscore. Libby seems to be a year or two away, but then he probably has not pitched in awhile.

Woody finishes up with a 2.23 ERA. Let’s hope he gets a legitimate shot at a rotation spot next Spring.

DeJong finishes below .160. No matter how much you want to make that contract get some ROI, management is compounding the problem by forcing him in to the lineup. Wins will lead to more revenue. Playing DeJong does hurts your chances at a win.

I wonder if Carlson will eventually approach what he showed was promising as a minor leaguer. He has not taken that next step. I wonder if Nooty will pass him by.

Alright, hoping for a lot of October baseball by our club. Will be nice to play more than a one-and-done series.

Eddie had 3 hits, 2 runs scored, an RBI, and a stolen base. Also, a very nice defensive play.

GameCard…Yep, let’s hope he saved some more for Friday. My hunch is that he and Donnie are going to be the spark plugs that make the thing get up and go.

Mo’s computer says a guy with a 4.29 K/9 stinks so forget about it.
