Look familiar? Indeed, this is the lineup that just throttled Toronto 6-1 in Canada. It is always wise to keep riding a winning horse…. and this one just easily galloped to a 5 length victory vs an extremely tough thoroughbred. This lineup is the one I want to go to war with tonight in our nation’s capital. Let our two superstars rest easy again this evening and let’s see what happens.

What’s for din-din tonight? How about both baked and fried cod, waffle fries, cole slaw, corn on the cob and homemade pecan/apple pie.

He is hitting .249 at Triple A? He needs to stay and learn how to hit. OPS .865 lol does not count

Nice din-din Pugs.If you batter and deep fry that cod you’re getting in my wheelhouse there. Going up against a high era guy tonight so maybe we will get some runs. I wouldn’t sit the big boys too long but maybe some others will wake up. Powered by Pulhous last time but we did have a BLD (bases loaded dud). Gino and Helsley finished well. Toronto couldn’t hit off Waino. Used to be American league was largely curve balls. Things have sure changed.Good time to win some series now.
Din-din will be spaghetti and salads.
    Go Cardinals!

Mike, the dinner discussion is something that some of the regulars here enjoy. If you don’t, please just skip over their posts, as I do. Name calling isn’t how this site works. Why not join in the baseball talk instead?

C839: Here’s what I do when I find posts boring or annoying: I don’t read them. Works every time.

BTW, I just finished a din-din of tacos and refried beans and soon will start in on some vanilla ice cream sprinkled with raspberries.

    Rah Cardinals!

Wow! Edman is going to get a serious case of the bends with this rapid rise and descent in the batting order.

I’m thinking Sosa may get traded over the weekend, so DeJong is on hand.

Tony had a philosophy that you go all out to win the 1st game in a series. That way if you split the next 2 you still win the series.

Din din tonight is sautéed gnat.

In the Philadelphia airport waiting to board a flight home. Having a tuna/avocado sandwich and bbq chips.

Imagine after this weekend the club will either be seriously in on Soto, or not in the picture. I say for for Montas instead.

Oh, and I am thinking that while DeJong slugged at Memphis, he still only hit the ball at a .249 clip. That ain’t going to cut it in the bigs. Those balls he hit out in AAA are going to be a lot of “swing and miss” at the top level. Still needs to learn to make better contact. Trade ‘im now.

The Cards need to start winning most series the rest of the way out. Better start this weekend playing against the biggest losers in MLB.

Had watermelon and leftover pizza tonight. It wasn’t too bad, but shoulda done done better. Makes makes me feel a little bit like a loser.

Just got back from a long day at the salt mines. Some pretty fair din-dins tonight, gentlemen….I especially liked this new guy’s din-din….MikeyC…..I think is his name. Anyway, Birds hold a commanding 3-1 advantage in the bottom of the 4th.

Have the Knizner detractors gone silent yet? Four hits in the last two games and 2 for 2 tonight!

Guilty as charged, Wagee. Let’s hope he keeps proving us wrong.

Cards in total control as we play in the top of the 6th. 5-1 with Gorman going deep with a teammate onboard for the free ride.

Benches just cleared at Crosley Field between Baltimore and Cincinnati. The Orioles batter got hit by a pitch and away they went. Nothing major, but benches did clear.

Din-din today was a center cut rib chop in the air fryer, some Aces High sweet corn, Pepsi, and a piece of Cookies n’ Cream pie. My late night snack tonight whilst I watch the Cubs and Giants will be a roast beef sandwich with lettuce and mayo, a couple of chocolate fudge bars, some Cherry Kool-Aid, and a 7×50 Palma Real cigar whilst me and Whitey watch the game.

Nice to see the start of a winning streak. Gorman starting to heat up bodes well for the offense.

I was hiking this evening so I ate triscuit crackers with peanut butter on them. Filling, but not exciting. I did have a bacon cheeseburger and fries at one of my favorite establishments roe lunch.
