Now that the Cards have been eliminated my interest in the postseason is very diminished. I doubt that I watch many of the games, however, I will go out on a limb and predict a World Series between the Brewers and White Sox.

I like the Devil Rays and the efficient way the organization is run. I’m surprised to find myself rooting for Giants in NL. But I would love the White Sox to win just for all the LaRussa haters

Giants nipping at our heels for most NL pennants, so we Cardinal fans can’t be extending well wishes their way. I think we very well could be looking at a Milwaukee-Houston Fall Classic. RatsBuddy’s “Cannon” reruns may very well beat that matchup in the ratings. Me? I’m poised to watch a couple “Who Loves You Baby” episodes tonight…..with sucker in mouth.

Not so interested in baseball games today after last night, but just turned on MLB Network to see who won the games today. Wouldn’t you know, they are talking nonstop about the Human Highlight, a Bad Man, a Playoff Legend — yep, that’s October Randy setting more records (stealing home and hitting a HR in same playoff game). Evidently, he had a pretty good game and single-handedly annihilated Boston.

    Astros also won.

You’re not alone ED. I clicked open the P-D site, STLToday, to find out who won and there is nothing about it either on the front screen or clicking sports. I am sure it is there somewhere but it woud take some digging. Real baseball fans there.

I don’t really care who wins but this guy’s take was interesting to me.

Trying to decide which former Cardinals to root for to win it all. Both Tampa Bay and the White Sox are tempting. Any others?
Maybe Wong and the “home” division Brewers?

I’m not that interested in the rest of the play-offs…. LAD never – MIL never – SFG ehh – BOS never – TB nope – HOU – why? they cost us. So I’ll be rooting for a Braves v. Pale Hose WS

Like alot of others, now that the Redbirds are eliminated I am not much into the rest of the playoffs. Probably wont even watch the World Series. Time to start playing Strat-O-Matic again and watching Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Charlie’s Angels, Perry Mason, The Time Tunnel, Streets of San Francisco, The Invaders, and Mannix.

Plus tonight it’s the Evansville North Huskies at the Jasper Wildcats. North comes in 4-3 and Jasper is undefeated at 7-0. Predicting a 35-7 Wildcat victory in this one.

Whoever wrote the viva el birdos article comes off sounding way lamer than the entire list of people/things he/she criticized.

I’ll probably root for the Rays, but without a lot of zest. Not sure how much I’ll watch. It’s kind of amazing to me how the Rays do it.

As disappointing as the outcome of the LA game was, it reminded me of how good intense playoff games are when your team is in it — almost a rush feeling. I hate the Cards got just one of those this year. Win the division next season.

I like the Rays as well. Our man Randy picking up where he left off. Man, that kid is a stud. Still can’t see how the Cards let an athlete like that go. But O’Neill is similar and maybe we will start to see some returns on that deal next year from Libby.

I picked the Pale Hose as pre-season AL champs, but they may go three and out. Had Seattle got in I would root for them. Now I will just kick back and see how it goes, and like Rat take in some old movies and TV shows.

Now that the Cardinals are out of it, I want the Brewers to win. Great fan base, fantastic stadium, excellent team, and they haven’t won one yet. Plus, they represent the NL Central. Go Brewers!

Jasper prevails at home by the skin of their teeth to a very mediocre Evansville North squad…..20-13 your final. The Wildcats seem to be tuning down instead of tuning up, as playoff action is visible around the corner now. 8-0 Jasper limps into 1-7 Vincennes next Friday night in game that on paper would indicate a laugher. And I agree with this assessment….a laugher….but it’s not Jasper who will be doing the chuckling. In a BOLD in your face prognostication, I’m calling this game 37-14 Vincennes. Go Birds!

Yep Pugs, you are right. The narrow 20-13 win over the Evansville North Huskies, on Jasper’s home field, came as a surprise to alot of the Jasper faithful. The game wasnt decided until about 3:00 left in the 4th quarter when Jasper intercepted North at about the ten yard line and were then able to run out the clock.

However, the Evansville North Huskies weren’t exactly mediocre. They came in 4-3 and played really well in a very difficult place to win for 60+ years now. And next Friday’s game, at the 1-7 Vincennes Lincoln Alices, could be another close one as the Wildcats and Alices have been big rivals for decades now. Not sure if I will be in attendance next Friday or not. Depends upon the weather, I guess.

I was really pumped for a Vincennes victory…….until I just found out their team name. Who names a boys football team the “Alices”? How does the Green Bay Gails, Dallas Debbies, Chicago Sharons or Minnesota Marys sound? And what kind of a team could they field with those names? I’m switching my pick for next week to Jasper…..Wildcats 57 Alices 0.

    Go Birds!

Astros have a 5-1 lead on the WhiteSox at Comiskey Park in Game Four. Could be LaRussa will be eliminated today unless the ChiSox come back. Hate to see Dusty Baker advance. He’s a POS if you ask me.

Not a big fan of either Houston or Boston in the AL. Why are the Red Sox wearing those red jerseys? Those are okay for an occasional regular season game, but in the post season go with tradition and class, not beer league softball.

Crew on the edge. Will see if the former Milwaukee club eliminates the current one. This year’s series may be the former Boston Nationals against the current Boston Americans.

Astros eliminate LaRussa and the WhiteSox by the score of 10-1. Houston and Boston in the ALCS. Home field advantage goes to the Astros.

Currently the Brewers lead the Braves 2-0 in the 4th at Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta. A win by Atlanta and this one is all over.

As mentioned before the games started, Milwaukee and Houston are on a direct collision course to meet in the 2021 World Series…..and I’m rarely wrong on these things. Should be a great series!
