A sweep would be good. Need to win today as we then head to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers. I’ll take one of those three and be happy. That will be Flaherty and Bauer in Game One on Monday evening.

Din-din today will be chicken on the grill, some baked beans, and a piece of Strawberry cream cake and a bowl of freshly made homemade ice cream in my new White Mountain freezer. And a glass of water.

Me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch for this one, tuning in. We’ll probably catch the first several innings of the Reds and Cubs. And, no doubt, being from Indiana, we will be tuning in to the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.

Realistically, we can hope for 5 IP from Kim. Maybe into the 6th. He hasn’t gone beyond that so far. Not sure who is available out of the pen. Reyes threw 20 pitches last night. I think the other 3 relievers had fairly high PC for a one inning outing. Ponce should be good I think with 27 PC the day before and Woodford with 33. They could do multiple innings.

ESPN has Matt Peacock, a righty, going for the DBs. He is a AA in 2019 straight to MLB in 2021 guy. Second start after working out of the pen earlier. Gone 5 IP both times taking losses. In other words the kind of guy we fatten up on.

Not much of a lineup there. Hopefully Kim will be in good form today and we wont suffer from that lineup’s non-production.

The lineup looks like one of TLR’s Sunday specials. Williams instead of Carlson would have been the cherry on top.

Must be Honor the Scrubs Day in the U.S. today. As 14N says, it’s missing only Williams to make it the futility special. Who needs a sweep anyway?

Reds lead the Cubs 5-0 in the 5th at Wrigley. Maybe the Reds can finally win one in Chicago and help us out a little bit.

And Helium Nostradamus, or whatever his name is, wins the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Time to light up a cigar and tune in Erica Weston. Me and Whitey Herdog are headed to the couch!

Edman’s not leading off only reminds you how great it is to not have Carpenter leading off on a regular basis.

Rondon just put it in play and ended up scoring a run. Less exciting than Carlson’s tater. No exit velocity. No launch angle. Mo’s computer probably hated it.

That is a TLR inspired getaway lineup if I have ever seen one.

Carp reached 3rd, then a tootblan to kill the rally.

Why would we rest 3 starters the same game… gotta be frustrating for a pitcher

This team might set the mlb record for most errors in a single week

You have to keep your foot on the gas and sweep a team that has lost 13 in a row

Pretty stiff competition from this Peecock fellow. Thru 6 frames, no free passes, 6 whiffs and 6 hits. Peecock can hit his spots. Time to rally late, gentlemen.

I see Webb is helping out as usual.

Can we at least contemplate ceasing and desisting the Tyler Webb Experiment?

Well 3-4 is nothing to sneeze at….even against these guys.

Agree Pugs. Not sure why any of those guys are on a big league roster – at the moment.

But, since it’s now a 9-2 Arizona lead I am going to call this one in favor of the DBacks. Winning three of the four was still a good series for us.

Plus the Giants have a 5-0 lead on the Dodgers and they are on the verge of winning three straight against LA. Maybe we might be catching the Doyers at a good time. And maybe the Padres will catch the Cubs at a good time as well since the Reds beat the Cubs 5-1 today at Wrigley.

Hopefully when Miller gets back Webb gets released.

Well, serves us right for sending this bunch out there. One we can perhaps overcome. Maybe even two. But the whole lot of them, and then sending Webb in to save the day. Sheesh!

Indeed CIF. The Diamondbacks had to have been insulted by that lineup we trotted out there today. I’m surprised they aren’t shellacking us 20-2.

I have watched that early two run single that went by a couple steps to Rondon’s left and shake my head. He was playing in, I know, but that was not much of an effort at a ball just to his left. A ball he at least needed to knock down and keep on the infield. I am also having issues with Sosa’s defense, and not just today. And Carpenter’s defense. And both are boneheads on the base path.

Edmonds was persistently critical of Kim’s pitching today. Basically not working both sides of the plate which allowed hitters to tee off. I kept an eye on Knizner’s target and he was doing nothing to help Kim with that.

Anyway, a loss now counts the same as a loss in September so lets hope this giveaway doesn’t haunt us in the end.
