Kind of figured that was coming. Kim can be real good, but not real durable. Seems to be the story for all of our pitchers.
Indeed. Of the very many quality players who we’ve traded or let walk over the past few years, I think the most regretful was Lance Lynn. Bonafide horses such as Lynn you just cannot allow to leave. Every team makes personnel mistakes…..it seems that we make an inordinate amount of them.
Unfortunately, this series with Pittsburgh should be a good one. Closely contested games each and every one of them.

There will be ball played tonight, Rat. And oh there will be runs aplenty. I’ll call it 12-11 Birds with Paulie poking at least one dong….and maybe two.
I have not liked too many of the decisions to let players walk away. Lynn was one I did not like from either side. I thought we should have re-signed him, but when we did not do that I thought he should take the QO as it just did not seem like he would make that much as a free agent. I thought he should have taken the QO, go out and have a great year, then file again.
I also hated seeing Wong go. I did not like seeing Heyward leave either, especially to the Cubs, but that one has turned out okay. Same with Ozuna, and of course the big one, old number 5.
Well the hitting hasnt really happened so far. A couple guys having good night. Why does every pitcher seem to stifle our hitters.
Yea I know bling but the thing about playing it close, you leave the game to chance. Anybody can smack one over the wall. At least we got some runs there. I don’t know what bader was doing though. I see maybe a day off in his future, schildt didn’t care for that and he shouldn’t, bad baseball.
Yadis hit was changed to an error. Seems ludicrous. It probably should have been fielded but I’ve seen hits right at people scored a hit.
Happ at 86 pitches through 6 and due up 3rd. One hit and two walks, maybe he will shame Lester into manning up.
