Last inning was typical of how the Cardinals season is going. Get a couple runners on… And the next 3 hitters produce nothing. Can’t even get a productive out. It’s not like it’s coming against cy young caliber pitchers because everyone is a cy young candidate against this pitiful offense.

This team at times is so hard to watch. Even after 100 games, they still haven’t figured it out

Gant really struggles for a guy that actually has the ability to play well

4 innings to get 5 runs. And that’s hoping Cleveland won’t score again. Our chances aren’t good

Yet another stinker for this sad sack roster. .500 club losing to the pander bunch.

We have a 500 club. Disappointing after the start we had, but it’s the reality.

26-8 when we get a quality start. We need to address the rotation depth and bullpen. Would love to see a move for a plug-in second baseman like Josh Harrison or Schoop, who would at least provide a bench bat, too. Maybe Gorman will be ready, but I don’t think you can rely on him breaking camp with the team at this point. Would be great to have Tommy as a utility man though

We’re in good shape with position players, which is nice. Just gotta plug some of the remaining holes wisely. It’s definitely possible to fill those holes with guys who would take 1-2 year deals with reasonable AAVs. Plenty of guys that can ops over 400 or have an ERA below 6 and fill bench and bullpen roles out there

Beautiful call on the cornbread, Wooster. It fits perfectly this time of year. And yes, load that potato salad with onions. They not only taste great, but their health benefits are thru the roof. By next century, science will have the complete breakdown of what nasty things onions ward off.

Boy what a clunker for Kim today. Luckily, I missed it. We do need to get him locked up for the next two years though. He certainly has earned it. What’s nice about dealing with Kim come contract time, is that even if he has an American agent, you can bet there will not be a lot of game playing going on. Kim will do the honorable thing. Well, even though it was just for a couple days, hopefully the boys enjoyed their trip to Cleveland. So many things to do there this time of year.

I agree Pugs, Kim has really come thru for us. He needs to be there next year. Miller just breezed through the 8th. Looks like a beautiful day there in Cleveland today

They don’t teach productive outs. Or any thing but figure out the optimized swing and its repeatability. Imagine how wonderful it would be if O’Neill’s optimum swing wasn’t his only swing.

The virtual reality hitting experience machine needs to go over the side along with the pitching lab. And a couple dozen of Mo’s wonks.

During his 5 game win streak KK was a ground ball machine. Today only 1 in 11 balls in play.

Anyone have an answer to what happened to Kim today. It was blacked out here.

Didn’t get to watch the game tonight, went to the county fair to catch a country show. Probably best I missed it.
