Kim getting into a jam in the first…loaded the bases with one out. Now with a K of Happ and a grounder from Bote and he’s out of it unscathed.

Somehow Kim got out of that mess.

We need to put some pressure on Hendricks and not let him throw a seven inning shutout. With five games in three days we need to make them use their pen.

I forgot that Cy Hendricks is going for the Cubs today. Maybe the Cards will get a couple of hits.

Fowler breaks the tie with a big fly to right center. 1-0 Cards.

No doubt. He usually looks like Greg Maddux against us.

    But way to go Fowler!

Fowler is hitting .348 so far this year. Please tell me Mo isn’t already drawing up the 3 year extension…lol

Kim with a nice double play ball to help unstick the jam he was in a little bit.

Happ gets his revenge for the early K. We’re tied 1-1.

Baez just blew that grounder by Miller. Hopefully the Cards can make Hendricks pay.

Dexter flies out. Hendricks has been bulletproof and is hardly using any pitches. It seems like the Cubs are gonna get through game 1 without their bullpen sweating.

Gant looking as good as he did early last year. 3 Ks in 4 batters.

Gallegos also looked good in his inning of work. It sure would be nice if anyone but Hendricks was out there for the 7th.

Goldy with the leadoff double on the gapper! He got a break on the 2-1 pitch that should have been a strike, and took advantage. Now let’s see if O’Neill can do some damage.

Tyler walks and Carp singles, so the bases are loaded with none out. Gotta get something here, now.

Wouldn’t it be great for Dylan Carlson to hit his first career granny here??

Ugh. A sharp grounder directly at the defender and the Cubs get the force at home.

Very good plate discipline by O’Neill (on the BB)

Brad Miller pokes one out to the wall in left center that Almora finally can’t get to. Two runs score and although Carlson is thrown out at the plate, the Cards lead it 3-1.
