Luis Castillo walks Miller on four consecutive wayward ones to lead off the Redbird 2nd. Let’s stay with the action shall we?
DeJong – Paulie Primetime rifles a shot past a diving Suarez at 3rd and into the left field corner…Miller rounds 2nd and will apply the brakes at 3rd on a DeJong double!
Yadi – Weak grounder towards 3rd that Suarez races in to glove as he quickly checks Miller at 3rd base and then flings it across the diamond to Joey V’s waiting mitt at 1st for the out. One out.
Carp – Check swing tapper towards 1st that Votto gloves and underhanded it to Castillo….safe and a run scores on a very close play. Review time……call overturned and Carp is immediately sent to his dugout, but the run sticks. 2-1 Cincy with 2 outs and DeJong nestled at 3rd.
O’Neill – Strikes out swinging.

Redlegs 2Shogo shoots one into left for a 1 out base knock. Oh oh….up strolls one Nicholas Castellanos…..and he blisters a liner, but directly at DeJong at short for the out….whew!
Suarez ramrods a Waino offering into the left field corner that will score Shogo and the Reds up their advantage to 3-1. Waino & Co. are not out of the woods yet as Goodwin grabs a bat with teammates straddling both 2nd & 3rd. Goodwin whiffs.
Boy defensive positioning seems to be an art that has been mastered, as the manuevering continues to take away base hit after base hit.
Lane Thomas with a nice…almost slide to catch the final out of the 5th. He took half the turf in the stadium with him, though.
Castillo is just carving the Cards up. Can’t do much with a guy who is painting the edges with 97 and throwing filthy breakers. His pitch count is so low that he’s likely to go at least 7-8 innings, too.
Right you are, Stlcard25. Castillo is carving us up like you would to a Sunday turkey…. Filthy Filthy stuff with a capital “F”!
Waino really just made the one mistake to Votto, but was otherwise solid. He finishes with the K to go 6 innings and giving up 3 runs. It would be nice to get some offense going but that’s easier said than done against Castillo.
Rat – I absolutely love those upstart Bosse Bulldogs in tonight’s game vs Jasper. I’m calling it Evansville 37 Jasper 16.

You missed the call here. Jasper led Evansville Bosse 42-0 at the half. It was 28-0 with about 4:00 left in the 1st quarter.

Some crazy scores of late. Mets throttling Toronto tonight by the lopsided score of 17-1. The Crew and the cubbies are mired in a much less offensive affair, as those two Central divisional foes of our Cardinals remain scoreless in the 6th in southern Wisconsin.
Did anyone else notice the cutout in the front row of the blonde woman with the sunglasses? It appears she is looking down at her (imaginary) cell phone. This has to be the most realistic representation to date.

I still can’t get over Fredbird dressing up as Joe Exotic during one of yesterday’s games against the Tigers.
“Blonde”….”front row”……if it wasn’t 5am in the gay Parie right now, Cardinal in France would have been all over that by now, Brian.
Mets tacked on a late insurance run in their game vs Toronto and that one has just gone final…..18-1 New York. And in Milwaukee, no runner has still touched home plate as they move along to the bottom of the 7th vs the cubbies.
Another nice inning from the bull pen … Crismatt shuts down the Reds.
My prediction was pretty good!
