Whew! I swear my heart literally misses 5 or 6 beats every time there’s a hard hit ball at Jose in a crucial situation. This time we have a happy ending, but Pittsburgh does plate 1 here in the 4th…2-1 Good Guys on top.
September 11, 2018 at 8:27 pm #69064I think the lizard just churned up a little indigestion in the pit of Mikolas’ tummy. Several of his tosses last inning were a bit up and center cut.
September 11, 2018 at 8:29 pm #69065Reds play spoiler again as they thump the Dodgers 3-1 tonight.
September 11, 2018 at 8:30 pm #69066Marcell strikes out and doesn’t look like a million bucks doing it. DeJong lofts a long fly ball to right but Frazier appears to have a beed on it and he clutches it on the warning track about 10 feet inside the chalk for out #2 here in the Cardinal 4th. Wong K’s flailing to retire the side
September 11, 2018 at 8:36 pm #69067It could have been worse, Euro…..Mikolas could have made a meal out of our Rally Squirrel…..matter of fact, let’s keep some good distance between those two! Maybe as Cardinal fans, it might be wise to get a restraining order served to Miles saying that Miles has to stay at least 1 mile away from the Rally Squirrel…who I think is presently about 600 miles from Miles since the Rally Squirrel was just recently spotted romping around the Motor City.
September 11, 2018 at 8:48 pm #69068Top of the 6th could be a game decider.
September 11, 2018 at 8:51 pm #69069The Carpenter throw to 2B to get Bell out on the force was mesmerizing…darn near hypnotic.
September 11, 2018 at 8:56 pm #69070Mikolas matriculates his way nicely through the 6th. Pugs, I bet you’re a guy who appreciated the witticisms of Hank Stram.

ParticipantAdams with a single the other way. Bases loaded no outs for Ozuna
September 11, 2018 at 9:05 pm #69072NJ315
ParticipantThat was a putrid at bat by Ozuna.
September 11, 2018 at 9:05 pm #69073Ozuna Ks with bases loaded. Still just one out in the 6th. DeJong up. Gotta do some damage here.
September 11, 2018 at 9:07 pm #69074Ozuna looks stupid swinging at a ball 3 feet off the plate….
but thank god the pitcher throws a WP and Carp scores!!
September 11, 2018 at 9:08 pm #69075NJ315
ParticipantWild pitch. At least we score one.
September 11, 2018 at 9:11 pm #69076NJ315
ParticipantDeming sac fly.
September 11, 2018 at 9:21 pm #69077Two big runs in the 6th for the Cards, followed by a nice 7th inning for Mikolas. He has 107 pitches, so that should be it for him. Pen needs to hold a 3-run lead. If Hudson comes in, hopefully no free passes tonight.
September 11, 2018 at 9:34 pm #69078
stlcard25ParticipantGreg Garcia’s best position now…bait to make teams bring in a lefty to face him so we can switch to another pinch hitter. Ha!
September 11, 2018 at 9:37 pm #69079
stlcard25ParticipantJose in with the bases juiced…see if he can come through here.
Oh, another wild pitch! 5-1 Cards
September 11, 2018 at 9:40 pm #69080
stlcard25ParticipantMartinez Ks to not drive in a run. Up to Big City. The Pirates fear him so they walk him to load the bases for Ozuna.
September 11, 2018 at 9:40 pm #69081
stlcard25ParticipantLineout…5-1 going to the 8th.
September 11, 2018 at 9:51 pm #69082
stlcard25ParticipantA flawless 8th by Norris sets up the Cards to need three more outs with at least a 4 run lead.
September 11, 2018 at 10:01 pm #69086Man, that pitch was LAUNCHED!!!
September 11, 2018 at 10:01 pm #69087
stlcard25ParticipantMake that an 8 run lead! Homer O’Neill after the error scores Wong.
September 11, 2018 at 10:04 pm #69088Weaver warming up in the pen
September 11, 2018 at 10:06 pm #69089I’ve lost track of how many pitchers Pittsburgh has gone through this inning
September 11, 2018 at 10:08 pm #69090
stlcard25Participant113 mph, in fact, UConn
Tyler O'Neill (13) off RHP Nick Burdi (1) – 113.1 mph, 22 degrees (457 ft Home Run)
