Crazy!
Nice hit for Wong. He’s really been coming on since his ice cold start. His OPS is nearly up to Ozuna’s.
Hicks beans Eaton and keeps the inning alive. Bullpen in spots has been suspect these first 2 games.

It appears some aren’t buying the recent streak. 38 and some change tonight at the yard.
Just a theory. Tickets are bought in advance and travel requires planning for those not local. It may take longer for the positive effect to be registered. I saw reference to Monday night’s game’s TV ratings being the best this season to date which is a better reflection of the instant reaction to the recent winning.
Holland looked pretty good last night in relief. His slider was coming right in at the bottom half of the plate only to dive out of the zone at the last second.

Given that over the course of the last two or three years fans have seen a run like this, maybe not this long, only to watch as the team turns around and has a similar losing streak. Think since the change in manager and hitting coach you see a new mind set.
This was a game where defense made a huge difference, specifically the play Gyorko made. No way Carpenter makes that play. If that play is not made, then the Harper home run later in the inning might have been a three-run shot.
Of course you never know how things would have gone, but that was the key play in the game, and a microscopic reason this club is playing better. When you do not give up outs, and occasionally get an out that in most cases would not have occurred, you can turn the game around.
I’m vacationing in Colorado Springs until Sunday, so there’s my excuse. As bad luck would have it, both the Rockies and Sky Sox are out of town. Sky Sox return on Friday night, but I have plans that evening. I was hoping to get you all a detailed scouting report on the Brewers top affiliate….but unfortunately that will have to wait until another day. Today I have a short hiking trip to the Garden of the Gods and a visit to a couple coin shops on tap…..does it get any better than that.
Hey Pugs, if you get a chance we should meet up! If you have some time Friday or Saturday and are into sport collectibles at all (like with coins), there is a great shop in south Denver we could hit up. Great fish ‘n chips place close by there too.
