Ravelo posted a 133 wRC+ in Memphis.
Baker had a 123 wRC+ in Peoria (37 games). He had a 240 in Rookie ball, but that hardly counts as it was all of 8 games.
You can argue about the power of Baker all you want, but…
Ravelo had a .179 ISO and hit 13 HR in 347 AB (3.75%).
Baker had a .141 ISO and hit 4 HR in 163 AB (2.45%).How did Sosa get the nod over Edman?
Edman posted a 108 wRC+ at both Springfield and Memphis to go along with his 30 SB and co-MVP in the PCL Playoffs.
Sosa posted a 99 wRC+ in Springfield and an 88 in Memphis.
With that criteria, Malcom Nunez should be the lead story.
I did not investigate the background of the author, but if he is doing all 30 of these, he probably hasn’t even heard of Nunez.
So take them for what they are – top prospect all-stars.
