Michael Wacha (9‐7, 4.33) vs. Madison Bumgarner (3‐6, 2.85) 9:15 p.m. FOX Sports Midwest
August 31, 2017 at 1:03 pm #32089Need a big win, but probably too little too late unless two or three teams pull a 2011 Braves fiasco over the next few weeks, which is unlikely. But want to see Cards wins nonetheless. Sweep in SF would be awesome.

ParticipantGant up. Siegrist DFA’d
August 31, 2017 at 2:18 pm #32091crazy to see Kevin go…
sa for the cardinals…we still have 7 games against the Cubs…3 more against the BRewers…those 7 against the Cubs are what will decide the division… you can make up a lot of ground in head to heads..
August 31, 2017 at 2:29 pm #32092You mean Siegrist is being let go?????????
August 31, 2017 at 2:35 pm #32093DFA’d
August 31, 2017 at 2:39 pm #32097D. Goold tweets that more moves are on the way.
August 31, 2017 at 2:50 pm #32100Alcantara is coming up too it seems
August 31, 2017 at 5:00 pm #32109Good start w/pitching staff. Would rather have seen Oh let go, but there’s still time…
August 31, 2017 at 9:28 pm #32111Side note Juston Upton is now a member of the Angels after the Tigers traded him…
Hope we play better against the Giants than we usually do, they seem to have our number…
August 31, 2017 at 9:50 pm #32112Top of the 3rd, Cards up 2-0 after Grichuk hit a 2 run HR…
August 31, 2017 at 10:18 pm #32113Grichuk after a 2 run homer K’s with 2nd and 3rd and 1 out.
2 abs like that are the reason he’s just so frustrating to watch sometimes.
August 31, 2017 at 10:45 pm #32115Tough play by Grichuk to get to the ball and if he’d hit the cutoff guy (which was tough as well) Pence is out.
Wacha in the danger zone! 2-1 and he’s at 67 pitches
August 31, 2017 at 11:23 pm #32116Top of the 7th, Cards up 3-1, runners on first and second one out…
August 31, 2017 at 11:53 pm #32118Top of the 8th, bases loaded, 2 outs, Pham got hit by a pitch to make it 5-1 Cards…
September 1, 2017 at 12:18 am #32119Well…bottom of the 9th, nobody out and the bullpen is doing its best to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory, Brebbia gives up a 2 run HR to make the score now 5-3 Cards…

September 1, 2017 at 12:31 am #32121They changed it to a ground rule double so Cards lead 5-2, bottom of the 9th, now 2 outs, a runner on 2nd, and Oh pitching…
September 1, 2017 at 12:37 am #32122Oh got the last out and we win 5-2 putting us a whopping 1 game over .500…
September 1, 2017 at 12:37 am #32123Oh gets the final out, but bullpen always keeps it interesting. HR overturned to GR double and SF dugout goes apoplectic. Love it! Poor guy who catches the ball at the foul pole gets tossed. Something new every game.
September 1, 2017 at 1:23 am #32124Did he get tossed on get put at 300 level?
September 1, 2017 at 3:44 am #32126Another heads up, Verlander to the Astros from the Tigers…
September 1, 2017 at 10:26 am #32153Wacha pitched brilliantly…i know we all feel he is always injured but he has put together a pretty good season
September 1, 2017 at 11:50 am #32161I agree with you on Wacha. He has turned it around and doesn’t make me nervous any more. Bullpen, on the other hand…
September 1, 2017 at 12:24 pm #32162Wacha’s problem seems to be that he seems to have a hard time staying within himself when he gets a runner on early in the inning. He overthrows, misses his spots and then in trouble grooves one. He is usually great through the first nine batters then often struggles the second time through.
