Need a big win, but probably too little too late unless two or three teams pull a 2011 Braves fiasco over the next few weeks, which is unlikely. But want to see Cards wins nonetheless. Sweep in SF would be awesome.

    crazy to see Kevin go…

sa for the cardinals…we still have 7 games against the Cubs…3 more against the BRewers…those 7 against the Cubs are what will decide the division… you can make up a lot of ground in head to heads..

Good start w/pitching staff. Would rather have seen Oh let go, but there’s still time…

Side note Juston Upton is now a member of the Angels after the Tigers traded him…

Hope we play better against the Giants than we usually do, they seem to have our number…

    Grichuk after a 2 run homer K’s with 2nd and 3rd and 1 out.

2 abs like that are the reason he’s just so frustrating to watch sometimes.

Tough play by Grichuk to get to the ball and if he’d hit the cutoff guy (which was tough as well) Pence is out.

Wacha in the danger zone! 2-1 and he’s at 67 pitches

Well…bottom of the 9th, nobody out and the bullpen is doing its best to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory, Brebbia gives up a 2 run HR to make the score now 5-3 Cards…

They changed it to a ground rule double so Cards lead 5-2, bottom of the 9th, now 2 outs, a runner on 2nd, and Oh pitching…

Oh got the last out and we win 5-2 putting us a whopping 1 game over .500…

Oh gets the final out, but bullpen always keeps it interesting. HR overturned to GR double and SF dugout goes apoplectic. Love it! Poor guy who catches the ball at the foul pole gets tossed. Something new every game.

I agree with you on Wacha. He has turned it around and doesn’t make me nervous any more. Bullpen, on the other hand…

Wacha’s problem seems to be that he seems to have a hard time staying within himself when he gets a runner on early in the inning. He overthrows, misses his spots and then in trouble grooves one. He is usually great through the first nine batters then often struggles the second time through.
