I believe that Dexter Fowler could ignite this offense. But I don’t think that’s going to happen because I don’t think he likes playing for Matheny.
I don’t know if Oquendo could be a successful manager. Nobody does. But he spent a lot of years working under LaRussa, and even more years observing how other managers handle their players on the field. You have to think that if he was manager, we might get at least an attempt to return to discipline, and to a traditional approach to managing players.
I think that if Mr. DeWitt is wanting to lay the blame for a bad on offense Mabry, he’s not ‘seeing the forest for the trees’ as they say.
