Amen to that, Bikemike. I lost my precious wife to breast cancer last November. We both lived through that fight together for almost three years before we finally had no choice but to say goodbye to one another. We shared life together as spouse and soul mates for almost 40 years. The last three years of her life were anything other than easy for either one of us, but those three years brought entirely into precise focus for both of us the very few things that are genuinely important and are to be held dear and close in this world. I sure do miss her a whole lot, but I’m thoroughly convinced she’s happy and smiling every time she looks on from above to see or hear me do or say something silly or stupid. She always told me that I was her clown and I happen to believe we’ll be together again before too long and I’ll get to hear her laugh and see her sweet smile. Then she’ll ask me to unload all those bags of potting mix from the truck so she can get started on growing all of her pretty flowers…Haha!
