My question is, why is Flaherty suddenly a great pitcher again? You are seeing that more and more. Players “suddenly” can play once they leave St Louis. Do the Red Sox have a better pitching coach? Better manager?
Yeah I think other teams have better pitching coaches and a better pitching philosophy that make much better use of analytics than we do while also tailoring the adjustments to the individual pitcher and their biomechanics. That is why I would like to bring in someone from Seattle or some other good pitching org to see what they are doing different.
