I love the way Oli will bring up a prospect that has earned a promotion. LaRussa would have forced the front office to trade the likes of a Walker, Thompson, and prospects for some partially used up veteran, rather than bring up a player that didn’t have the stats that LaRussa needed to make his personal numbers system work (for him).
