I don’t think both Yammomoto and Montgomery is realistic, as I think both will be in the group of top contracts, especially Monty. Sonny Gray will be into his age 34 season, so that will moderate his contract. Or somebody like that, maybe in addition to Yammomoto possibly if BDW has lost his mind and hands Mo that kind of money. That would be best case, too good to be true. Probably a guy like Gray and a lesser but still good younger guy closer to 30 than 35 is more what I expect. A top guy in his prime like Monty is just going to be priced out of our grasp considering we need multiple guys. I think Mo will make a very strong run at Matsui the reliever also, since our pen, like our rotation, is a basket case with no help in Memphis.
