I agree regarding the lack of adherence to protocols. After the final out was recorded yesterday I saw several Pirate coaches and players take their masks off and give each other hugs, not to mention all of the highlights around the league of players giving each other high fives and other celebrations. Some of it just human nature and hard to prevent.
Maybe the Marlins issue is just a blip on the radar but somehow I doubt it. I foresee several games being cancelled during the next two months? Enough to cancel the season? I don’t know.
I hope these college athletic directors are paying close attention. Many have been clinging on to this alternate reality that college football is going to happen this Fall come heck or high water since that is where the funds come from for their entire athletic department, but it might be time to face the fact that it might not happen.
