The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-0 on Tuesday. The Players of the Day are the Memphis offense, which scored 11 runs in an extra-inning game to earn a walk-off win against the Norfolk Tides. The offense was led by Chase Davis, who had four RBI on two hits; Colton Ledbetter, who was 3-for-6 with two RBI and three runs scored; and Brody Moore, who was 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Other standouts include Jimmy Crooks, Ian Petrutz, Jack Gurevitch, Cade McGee and Deniel Ortiz.

Memphis 11, Norfolk 10 (10 innings)
The Redbirds topped the Tides in an extra-inning win at AutoZone Park on Tuesday. Starter Josh Fleming pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up six runs on seven hits, walked one and struck out two.
Peter Strzelecki, on a rehab assignment, relieved Fleming and surrendered four runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Matt Svanson threw a scoreless sixth. Sandro Santana hurled two scoreless innings. Skylar Hales and Hancel Rincon each tossed a scoreless inning. Rincon earned the win.
Norfolk took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Memphis answered with a run in the home half of the inning to cut the lead to 2-1. Noah Mendlinger walked. Trey Paige walked. Brody Moore singled to score Mendlinger.
The Tides added a run in the top of the third to increase the lead to 3-1. The Redbirds responded with a run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run by Jimmy Crooks to shrink the lead to 3-2.
Norfolk put up three runs in the top of the fourth to strengthen the lead to 6-2. Memphis posted a five-run bottom frame to go up 7-6. Moore singled. Colton Ledbetter doubled to drive in Moore. Crooks walked. Ramon Mendoza walked. Bligh Madris walked, and Ledbetter came home. Chase Davis singled to plate Crooks and Mendoza. Zach Levenson walked. Mendlinger singled and Madris scored.
The Tides regained the lead with a four-run fifth inning to go up 10-7.
The Redbirds made it 10-8 in the seventh on a solo home run by Ledbetter. They tied the game with a two-run rally in the ninth. Moore walked. Ledbetter doubled. Madris walked. Davis singled to plate Moore and Ledbetter.
Norfolk failed to score in the top of the 10th. Memphis walked it off 11-10 in the bottom of the 10th. Zach Levenson was the tiebreaker runner. Mendlinger singled. Moore singled to score Levenson.
The offense scored 11 runs on 15 hits. Davis was 2-for-6 with four RBI. Ledbetter was 3-for-6 with two RBI and three runs scored. Moore was 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Crooks was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Madris was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Mendlinger was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Memphis is 30-34 in the second half and is 8 games back of the Rochester Red Wings in the International League.
Wednesday’s game: vs Norfolk, Pete Hansen LHP (4-4, 4.56) vs. Trace Bright RHP (1-10, 7.81) 12:05 CT.
The Cardinals defeated the Travelers 10-7 in Springfield on Tuesday. Starter Daniel Eagen pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up three runs on five hits, walked one and fanned 11 to earn his eighth win.
Chen-Wei Lin relieved Eagen and surrendered four runs in 3 1/3 innings of relief to earn his third save.
Arkansas went up 2-0 in the top of the second inning. Springfield answered with three runs in the home half of the second to take the lead 3-2. Ryan Campos singled. Cade McGee singled. Ian Petrutz followed with a three-run home run.
The Cardinals added two runs in the third to increase the lead to 5-2. Deniel Ortiz singled. Campos singled. McGee doubled to plate Ortiz and Campos.
In the top of the fourth, the Travelers added a run to cut the lead to 5-3. The Cardinals responded with a run in the bottom of the inning to increase the lead to 6-3. Luis Pino singled. Rainiel Rodriguez singled. Pino scored on a sac fly by Jesús Báez.
Springfield surged ahead with a four-run seventh to extend the lead to 10-3. Rodriguez was hit by a pitch. Báez was hit by a pitch. Jack Gurevitch blasted a three-run home run. Ortiz thumped a solo home run.
Arkansas rallied for four runs in the eighth to bring the final score to 10-7.
The Cardinals scored 10 runs on 12 hits. McGee was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Ortiz was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Rodriguez and Pino were each 2-for-4. Campos was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Petrutz and Gurevitch each had three RBIs.
Ortiz made a throwing error.
Springfield is 44-20 in the second half and is in first place in the Texas League North.
