With a Memphis win, the St. Louis Cardinals system went 1-0 on Saturday night. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, CF Chase Pinder, had a single and a go-ahead home run. Other standouts include Michael McGreevy and Kramer Robertson.

The Memphis Redbirds (32-41) topped the Charlotte Knights (CWS, 17-56) on Saturday night at AutoZone Park.
Michael McGreevy tossed seven innings with two runs given up to earn his 11th win of the season. TCN’s no. 3 prospect yielded six hits and one walk with six punchouts in his final outing of the year.
The Redbirds took a 2-1 lead in the first inning. Moisés Gómez brought in one via sacrifice fly and Nick Dunn scored a run with a single. In the second, Chase Pinder blasted a solo home run, his sixth of the season.

Gómez and Tres Barrera doubled in the third to plate one run each. To make the score 6-2, Kramer Robertson singled. Robertson added one more run in the eighth with an RBI single.
Out of the bullpen, Andre Granillo surrendered a run in the eighth inning. James Naile pitched a scoreless ninth with one strikeout.
Pinder, Robertson and Nick Raposo each recorded two hits in the contest. Raposo doubled twice and Pinder homered. The lineup went 6-for-17 with runners in scoring position with six extra-base hits.
On the base paths, Thomas Saggese, Matt Koperniak and César Prieto all took one bag.
Memphis plays their final game of the season on Sunday afternoon.
