Memphis Redbirds 6 at Omaha Storm Chasers 7 (10 innings)
The Triple-A Memphis Redbirds fell in extra innings to the Omaha Storm Chasers by the score of 7-6.
Starter Bruce Zimmerman pitched six innings, gave up three runs on five hits, walked one and fanned four.
Scott Blewett surrendered two runs in 2/3 innings in relief of Zimmerman. Matt Svanson threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Jared Shuster yielded two runs, one earned, in the final 1 2/3 innings and took the loss.
Omaha took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. They added two runs in the third to lead 3-0.
Memphis scored two runs in the top of the seventh to cut the lead to 3-2. Leo Bernal singled. Blaze Jordan hit a ground rule double. Bligh Madris walked. Matt Koperniak plated Berna and Jordan on a single.

The Storm Chasers answered with two runs in the home half of the seventh to extend the lead to 5-2.
The Redbirds scored three runs in the eighth to tie the game.

In extra innings, Memphis took the lead 6-5 in the 10th. Báez began the inning at second base and scored the go-ahead run on a single from Bernal.

Omaha scored two runs in the bottom of the 10th to walk-off the game and win 7-6.
The offense scored six runs on nine hits. Koperniak was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI. Bernal was 3-for-5 with an RBI. Báez tripled and scored two runs.
Memphis is 33-22 on the season and is tied for second place in the International League.

Springfield Cardinals 6, Wichita Wind Surge 3
The Double-A Springfield Cardinals defeated the Wichita Wind Surge in a 6-3 contest at Route 66 Stadium on Friday.
Starter Liam Doyle pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up two runs, one earned, on two hits, four walks, and eight strikeouts.

Dominic Picone relieved Doyle and threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win. Edwin Nuñez hurled a scoreless seventh. Darlin Saladin yielded one run in the final two innings and earned his first save.
Springfield went up 3-0 in the second inning. Chase Davis hit a solo home run.

Ryan Campos walked and stole second base. Jon Jon Gazdar walked. Travis Honeyman singled. Noah Mendlinger walked and Campos scored for a 2-0 Springfield lead. Gazdar came home on a wild pitch for the third run of the frame.
Wichita answered with two runs in the third to cut the lead to 3-2.
The Cardinals added a run in the fourth to extend the lead to 4-2. Gazdar reached on an error and stole second base. Mendlinger singled home Gazdar.
In the seventh, Springfield plated two runs to widen the lead to 6-2. Rainiel Rodriguez reached on an error. Zach Levenson followed with a single. Campos doubled home Rodriguez and Levenson to move the Cardinals ahead by four runs.

The Wind Surge added a run in the eighth to bring the final score to 6-3.
The Cardinals scored six runs on six hits. Mendlinger walked and notched two RBI. Campos doubled and drove in two runs. Gazdar singled and scored two runs. Davis hit a solo home run.
On the bases, Campos stole two bases to increase his season total to nine. Gazdar swiped his fifth bag. Honeyman was caught stealing third base.
On defense, Mendlinger made a throwing error. Campos had a passed ball.
Springfield is 21-27 on the season. They are in last place in the Texas League North. They will play a doubleheader against the Wind Surge on Saturday.

Peoria Chiefs 7 at Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 5 (10 innings)
The High-A Peoria Chiefs edged the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in an extra-innings contest on Friday.
Starter Leonel Sequera pitched 5 1/3 innings, gave up five runs on nine hits, walked one and struck out three.
Jawilme Ramírez relieved Sequera and threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.
Dominic Freeberger tossed the final two scoreless innings to earn the win.
Wisconsin took a 3-0 in the first inning. Peoria answered with two runs in the home second to cut the lead to 3-2.
Tre Richardson singled and Sammy Hernandez followed with a two-run home run, his third long ball of 2026.

The Timber Rattlers added a run in the third to increase the lead to 4-2. In the top of the fifth, the Chiefs added a run on a solo home run by Luis Pino to shrink the lead to 4-3.

Wisconsin responded with a fifth run in the home half of the fifth. The Chiefs tied the game with a two-run sixth. Cameron Nickens singled. Jalin Flores doubled to put two Chiefs in scoring position. Nickens scored on a wild pitch, with Flores to third base on the play. Flores came home on a sac fly by Richardson.

The game stayed tied at five to bring extra innings. Peoria sent two runners home to grab a 7-5 lead.
Christian Martin began the inning on second base. Jesús Báez doubled to move Martin to third base.
Martin scored on a sac fly by Nickens to move the Chiefs ahead 6-5. Jalin Flores reached on a fielder’s choice and moved to second base on the play via a throwing error, with Báez scoring for an insurance run and a 7-5 Chiefs lead.
Freeberger slammed the door in the bottom of the 10th to seal the win.

The Chiefs scored seven runs on 10 hits. Hernandez was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, and two RBI. Pino hit a solo home run. Flores and Báez doubled, with Flores also collecting an RBI.
On the bases, Martin stole his fourth base of the season.
Defensively, pitcher Sequera made an error on a pickoff attempt. Left fielder Martin had an outfield assist at home plate.
Peoria is 23-26 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Midwest League West.

Palm Beach Cardinals 7, Lakeland Flying Tigers 5
The Low-A Palm Beach Cardinals defeated the Lakeland Flying Tigers in a 7-5 win at Roger Dean Stadium on Friday.
Starter Brian Holiday pitched four scoreless innings, allowed one hit, walked one and struck out three in his Palm Beach debut.
Kaden Echeman relieved Holiday and surrendered four runs in three innings of relief but picked up the win. Jesús García yielded one run in the in the final two innings to earn his first save.
The Beach Birds took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Yordalin Peña.

Palm Beach added three runs in the third to extend the lead to 4-0. Ryan Weingartner singled. Ryan Mitchell walked. Chase Heath doubled to plate Weingartner and Mitchell.

Heath scored on a single by Peña.
The Cardinals extended the lead to 6-0 with a two run fifth. Matthew Miura walked and stole second base. Jonathan Mejía walked and stole second. Miura scored on a fielding error. Mejía came home on a single by Heath.
Palm Beach made it 7-0 in the sixth. Heriberto Caraballo singled and later scored on a balk.
Lakeland got on the board in the seventh as they scored two runs to cut the lead to 7-2. In the eighth, the Flying Tigers added three runs to move the final score to 7-5.
The Cardinals scored seven runs on eight hits. Heath was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Peña was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Caraballo, Weingartner, and Miura each singled and scored a run.
On the basepaths, Miura stole his first base of the season. Mejia swiped his fifth bag. Facundo Velásquez stole his first Low-A base. Peña stole his 11th base.
On defense, left fielder Mitchell had an outfield assist at home plate.
Palm Beach is 27-22 on the season. They are in second place in the Florida State League East.
Saturday’s game: vs. Lakeland, TBD (PB) vs. Caleb Leys LHP (0-2, 4.91) 5:00 CT.
FCL Cardinals, FCL Nationals (suspended)
This game was suspended due to weather conditions in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Nationals leading 9-0. It will be completed on Saturday, May 30.
The Cardinals are 5-13 on the season. They are in last place in the FCL East.
