The St. Louis Cardinals system was 3-3 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Springfield CF Chase Davis, a triple shy of a cycle, plus a walk, a stolen base and three RBI. Other standouts include Brycen Mautz, Jeremy Rivas, Noah Mendlinger, Alex Birge, Trevor Haskins and Jacob Odle.

The Triple-A Redbirds fell to the Jumbo Shrimp by an eight-run margin at AutoZone Park on Wednesday.
Starter Brycen Mautz pitched six innings, gave up two runs on six hits and fanned seven. Mautz took the loss, though he pitched well enough to win.
Matt Pushard relieved Mautz and threw a scoreless seventh. Ryan Fernandez surrendered one run in the eighth. Luis Gastelum gave up the bulk of the runs to Jacksonville, with six runs allowed in 2/3 of an inning. Ryan Murphy secured the final out of the ninth.
Jacksonville went up 2-0 in the first inning.
Memphis scored its only run of the game in the second. Ramon Mendoza doubled and came home on a single by Matt Koperniak.
The score remained at 2-1 until the Jumbo Shrimp added one run in the eighth and six in the ninth.
Memphis’ offense scored one run on eight hits. Koperniak was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Mendoza was 2-for-4
Joshua Báez stole his seventh base of the season.
Memphis is 25-16 on the season and is tied for first place with Gwinnett in the International League West.
Thursday’s game: vs. Jacksonville, RHP Hunter Dobbins (3-0, 4.23) vs. Thomas White LHP (0-1, 3.07) 11:05 am CT.
The Double-A Cardinals defeated the Drillers in the second straight game of the six-game series on Wednesday. Springfield’s overall winning streak is four games.
Starter Mason Molina pitched just 1 2/3 innings, gave up one run on one hit, walked two and struck out three.
Darlin Saladin relieved Molina and surrendered three runs in two innings. Jack Findlay threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Edwin Nuñez yielded one run in 1 1/3 innings. Michael Watson tossed the final 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
The Cardinals went ahead 2-0 in the top of the second inning. Travis Honeyman walked. Jeremy Rivas singled. Honeyman advanced to third on an error. Noah Mendlinger plated Honeyman and Rivas on a single.

The Drillers scored one run in the bottom of the second, added two in the third and one in the fourth to go ahead 4-2.

Springfield put up five runs in the fifth to take the lead at 7-4. Rainiel Rodriguez drew a walk. Chase Davis followed with a two-run home run. Ryan Campos singled and stole second base. Honeyman singled. Jeremy Rivas blasted a three-run home run.

The Cardinals added two more runs in the eighth to lead 9-4. Dakota Harris walked and stole second. Mendlinger singled to score Harris. Mendlinger stole second and scored on Davis’ double.
Tulsa scored one final run in the bottom of the eighth.
The Cardinals scored nine runs on 11 hits. Davis was 3-for-4 with a double, home run, walk and three RBI. Rivas was 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Mendlinger was 2-for-5 with three RBI. Honeyman was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
Davis stole his fifth base of the season. Campos swiped his second bag. Harris stole his seventh base. Mendlinger stole his first base.
Saladin made an error on a pickoff attempt.
Springfield is 14-21 on the season. They are in last place in the Texas League North.
Thursday’s game: at Tulsa, RHP Chen-Wei Lin (1-2, 3.97) vs. Wyatt Crowell LHP (2-3, 7.11) 7:00 CT.
The Chiefs lost to the Sky Carp in Beloit by the score of 6-4 on Wednesday.
Starter Yhoiker Fajardo pitched four innings, gave up five runs on seven hits, walked three and fanned eight. In his worst outing of 2026, the organization’s April Pitcher of the Month took the loss.
Christian Worley relieved Fajardo and threw a scoreless fifth. Sam Brodersen surrendered one run in the sixth. Jason Savacool hurled a scoreless seventh. Gerardo Salas tossed a scoreless eighth.
Beloit took a 4-0 lead in the first inning.
Peoria cut the lead to 4-1 in the top of the fourth. José Suárez singled and stole second base. Christian Martin plated Suárez on a single.
The Sky Carp scored a fifth run in the home fourth.
The Chiefs answered with three runs in the fifth to shrink the lead to 5-4. Jose Cordoba doubled. Sammy Hernandez walked. Won-Bin Cho doubled to score Cordoba. Hernandez came home on a ground out by Jalin Flores. Jesús Báez drove in Cho on a single.
Beloit added a final run in the sixth to win 6-4.
Peoria scored four runs on 10 hits. Báez was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Martin was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Suárez and Jack Gurevitch were both 2-for-5.
Suárez stole his fourth base. Cho swiped his 13th bag.
Fajardo picked a runner off first base. Hernandez picked a runner off third base.
Peoria is 15-19 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Midwest League West.

Palm Beach 2, Daytona 1 (seven innings, game one)
The Cardinals edged the Tortugas 2-1 in the first game of a twin bill on Wednesday. It was the makeup of Tuesday’s rainout.
Starter Jacob Odle pitched 4 2/3 innings, gave up one run on four hits, walked two and fanned a career-high nine.
Kaden Echeman relieved Odle and threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. Nelfy Ynfante tossed a scoreless seventh for his second save.
Palm Beach scored two runs in the second inning to take the lead. Michael Dattalo doubled and came home on a double by Chase Heath. Yordalin Peña singled. Heath scored on a sac fly by Cameron Nickens.

Daytona scored its only run of the game in the third inning.
The Cardinals scored two runs on five hits. Dattalo was 3-for-3.
Ryan Mitchell stole his ninth base of the season. Peña had an outfield assist at second base. Odle picked a runner off first base.
Palm Beach 12, Daytona 3 (seven innings, game two)
The Tortugas suffered a 12-3 rout in the second game of the twin bill on Wednesday as the Cardinals swept.
Starter Ty Van Dyke pitched four innings, gave up two runs on four hits, walked two and fanned four.
Yadiel Batista relieved Van Dyke and threw a scoreless fifth to earn his second win. Justin Militello surrendered one run in 1 1/3 innings. Hunter Kublick tossed the final 2/3 of a scoreless inning.

The Beach Birds put up six runs in the first inning. Brayden Smith singled and stole second. Ryan Mitchell and Jonathan Mejía walked. Alex Birge doubled to plate Smith and Mitchell. Yordalin Peña singled to score Mejía. Peña stole second base. Trevor Haskins followed with a three-run home run.

Daytona scored single runs in the third and fourth innings to cut the lead to 6-2.
Palm Beach answered in the home fourth with a solo home run by Facundo Velázquez, in his debut with Palm Beach. In the fifth, two more runs came home to extend the lead to 9-2. Mitchell singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Birge hit a two-run home run.

Daytona scored a third run in the top of the sixth.
The Cardinals put up three more runs in the home sixth for the final tally of 12-3. Johnfrank Salazar hit a solo home run. Velásquez tripled and scored on a double by Ryan Weingartner. Weingartner advanced to third on a defensive indifference and came home on a wild pitch.
The Palm Beach offense scored 12 runs on 11 hits. Birge was 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored. Peña was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Velásquez was 2-for-3 with a triple, home run and two runs scored. Haskins had three RBI. Mitchell scored two runs.
Smith stole his eighth base of the season. Peña swiped his fifth bag.
The Cardinals are 19-16 on the season. They are in second place in the Florida State League East.

FCL Cardinals 0, FCL Astros 2 (seven innings)
The rookie Cardinals were no-hit by the Astros and lost by a 2-0 score on Wednesday.
Starter Jan Cabrera pitched four innings, gave up one run on three hits, walked two and fanned four. Cabrera took the tough loss.
Brailyn Paulino relieved Cabrera and surrendered one run in 1 2/3 innings of relief. Jesús Garcia tossed the final 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
The Astros scored single runs in the first and fifth innings.
The Cardinals were no hit through all seven innings. The offense struck out eight times. Kenly Hunter, who drew a walk, was their only baserunner.
The Cardinals are 3-4 on the season.
