The St. Louis Cardinals system was 3-1 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Memphis pitcher Michael McGreevy, pitched six scoreless innings, with five hits, five strikeouts and one walk. Other standouts include Michael Curialle, Max Rajcic and Osvaldo Tovalin.

The Memphis Redbirds defeated the IronPigs in a 6-3 contest on Tuesday. Starter Michael McGreevy pitched six scoreless innings, allowed five hits, struck out five and walked one to earn his second win of the season.
Andrew Suarez relieved McGreevy and threw a scoreless seventh. Ryan Loutos tossed a scoreless eighth. Kodi Whitley surrendered three runs in the ninth.
Memphis took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Jordan Walker walked and scored on a double by Oscar Mercado.

The Redbirds added four runs in the fifth to increase the lead to 5-0. The inning started with walks by Mercado, Chase Pinder and Irving Lopez. Mercado and Pinder scored on wild pitches. Kramer Robertson walked, and Lopez was forced in. Robertson came home on a double by Ivan Herrera.
Memphis scored one more run in the sixth on an RBI double by Lopez.
The Memphis offense scored six runs on five hits. No Redbird had multiple hits.
On the base paths, Walker stole his second base of the season. Moises Gomez was caught stealing.
In the field, Lopez made two errors, one throwing and one fielding.
Memphis is 21-13 for the season and is in first place in the International League West.
Wednesday’s game: at Lehigh Valley, RHP Tommy Parsons (0-0, 4.40) vs. RHP Noah Skirrow 5:45 CT.
The Springfield Cardinals were shellacked by the Drillers in 14-1 smack down on Tuesday. Starter Wilfredo Pereira pitched five innings, gave up five runs on six hits, struck out five and walked two. Pereira took the loss, his second.
Jose Martinez relieved Pereira and surrendered five runs in 2/3 innings. Ryan Shreve allowed one run in 1 1/3 innings. Jack Ralston relinquished three runs in the eighth.
Springfield scored their only run in the second inning on a solo home run by L.J. Jones. Starting in the home half of the second, Tulsa took off.

The Drillers put up four runs in the bottom of the second, then one run in the fifth. In the sixth they posted five runs. One run in the seventh and three runs in the eighth completed the thrashing.
Jones had the only RBI. Jacob Buchberger was 2-for-4. Matt Koperniak was 2-for-3.
On the base paths, Buchberger stole his third base of the season. In the field, Pedro Pages made a throwing error. Koperniak had an outfield assist at second base.
Springfield is 13-15 on the season and is in fourth place in the Texas League North, five games back of Tulsa.
Wednesday’s game: vs. Tulsa, Kenny Hernandez LHP (3-0, 4.30) vs. River Ryan RHP (0-0, 1.65) 12:05 CT.
The Peoria Chiefs edged the Dragons in a one-run victory on Tuesday at Dozer Park. It was Peoria’s seventh straight win. Starter Cooper Hjerpe pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up two runs on six hits, struck out eight and walked two.
Gustavo Rodriguez relieved Hjerpe and threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Andrew Marrero tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his sixth save.
The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when Dayton scored two runs. In the seventh Peoria tied it. Fernando Hernandez drew a walk. Osvaldo Tovalin doubled. Elijah Cabell plated Hernandez and Tovalin on a single.
The Chiefs went ahead 3-2 in the eighth. Victor Scott II tripled and scored on a ground out by Jimmy Crooks.
Tovalin went 3-for-3. Cabell had two RBI.

On the base paths, Thomas Francisco was picked off second base. In the field, Rodriguez and Tovalin each made a throwing error. Nathan Church had an outfield assist at home plate.
Peoria is 16-12 on the season and is in second place in the Midwest League, 1.5 games back of Beloit.
Wednesday’s game: vs. Dayton, Trent Baker RHP (2-1, 3.57) vs. Chase Petty (0-0, 0.00) 11:05 CT.
The Palm Beach Cardinals blew past the Hammerheads in a 7-2 win at Roger Dean Stadium on Tuesday. Starter Max Rajcic pitched six innings, gave up one run on four hits and struck out seven to earn his third win of the season.
Joseph King surrendered one run in three innings in relief to earn his first save.
Palm Beach scored one run in the first. Darlin Moquete singled and scored on a single by R.J. Yeager. Jupiter tied it up in the bottom of the inning.
In the second, Brody Moore singled and scored on a two-run home run by Chris Rotondo. The game was close until the seventh when the Beach Birds increased their lead to 7-0 on a three-run bases-loaded double by Florida State League Player of the WeekMichael Curialle and a single by Leonardo Bernal.
The Hammerheads added one more run in the home half of the seventh.
Curialle was 2-for-5 with three RBI. Moquete was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Rotondo had two RBI.
On the base paths, Moore stole his second base of the season. Defensively, Moore committed a fielding error.
Palm Beach is 17-11 on the season and is in first place in the FSL East.
Wednesday’s game: at Jupiter, RHP Hunter Hayes (1-1, 2.79) vs. TBA 5:30 CT.
