The St. Louis Cardinals minor league system was 1-4 on Thursday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Memphis infielder Brody Moore, was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Other standouts include Brycen Mautz, Scott Blewett, Jack Findlay, Tai Peete, Jalin Flores, Cade McGee and Ryan Mitchell.

Memphis Redbirds 5, Indianapolis Indians 2
The Triple-A Memphis Redbirds edged the Indianapolis Indians at AutoZone Park on Thursday night.
Brycen Mautz started his sixth game for Memphis. The left-hander pitched four innings and allowed one run on four hits, three walks, and three strikeouts.
Rehabbing righty Matt Pushard threw a scoreless fifth frame in relief of Mautz as he works to rejoin the big league club. Scott Blewett followed with two shutout innings and a pair of strikeouts as he collected his second win of 2026. Skylar Hales tossed a scoreless eighth. Ryan Murphy made his Triple-A debut and yielded a run in the ninth but held on to finish the game.
Memphis struck first with a three-run second inning. Jimmy Crooks drew a lead-off walk. Bligh Madris hit a one out single. With two outs, Matt Koperniak singled home Crooks to put Memphis in front 1-0, with Madris to third base.

The Indians entered the scoring column with a run in the top of the third.
Memphis took the run back in the home fifth. Moore legged out an infield single and stole second base. The infielder moved to third base on a César Prieto groundout. Colton Ledbetter reached on a throwing error, with Moore home on the play for a 4-1 Memphis lead.
The Redbirds added an insurance run in the sixth. With two outs, Nelson Velázquez and Koperniak took back-to-back walks. Moore followed with a single to score Velázquez and stretch the lead to 5-1, Moore’s third RBI of the contest.

Memphis held off a ninth-inning rally from the Indians to seal their 20th win of the season. The Redbirds are the first team in MiLB to reach the 20-win mark.

The Redbirds scored five runs on seven hits. Moore was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and three RBI. Koperniak walked, singled, scored a run, and tallied an RBI. Ledbetter recorded an RBI. Madris singled and scored a run.
On the bases, Moore tallied his fifth steal of the season. Blaze Jordan was caught stealing second base.
The Redbirds did not commit an error.
Memphis is 20-10 on the season and hold a one-game divisional lead in the IL West.

Springfield Cardinals 2 at Northwest Arkansas Naturals 4
The Double-A Springfield Cardinals lost a tight game to the Naturals in Northwest Arkansas on Thursday, their fifth consecutive loss.
Chen-Wei Lin made his third start for Springfield, his fifth appearance overall. The right-hander threw 3 ⅔ innings and allowed two runs on four hits, two walks, and six strikeouts. Despite taking the loss, Lin continues to accumulate strikeouts, as he has struck out 18 batters across his last 11 innings pitched.

Left-hander Jack Findlay made his Double-A debut and threw two shutout frames with a pair of strikeouts in relief of Lin. Michael Watson yielded two runs across an inning of work, despite not allowing a hit. Mason Burns followed with 1 ⅓ scoreless frames.
The Naturals broke the scoreless tie with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Springfield moved within a run in the fifth. Dakota Harris drew a leadoff walk. With two outs, Jeremy Rivas was hit by a pitch. Carlos Linarez lined a single to bring Harris home to put the Cardinals on the board at 2-1, with Rivas out at third in a rundown to cut the rally short.

The Naturals plated two runs in the seventh to move ahead 4-1.
The Cardinals narrowed the gap to two with a run in the eighth. Rivas began the frame with a double. Rivas advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a two-out single from Noah Mendlinger.
Springfield stranded the tying runs on base in the ninth inning.
The Cardinals scored two runs on five hits. Linarez and Mendlinger singled wiith an RBI. Rivas doubled and scored. Graysen Tarlow singled. Trey Paige walked twice.
On the bases, Paige was picked off first. The Cardinals did not steal a bag in the game.
On defense, catcher Tarlow made a throwing error.
Springfield is 7-17 on the season.

Peoria Chiefs 3 at Great Lakes Loons 6 (7 innings, game one)
The High-A Peoria Chiefs dropped game one of Thursday’s doubleheader to the Great Lakes Loons. It was a makeup of Wednesday’s rainout.
Blake Aita started his fifth game for Peoria. The right-hander pitched 3 ⅔ innings and allowed four runs on six hits, two walks, and four strikeouts. The home run ball was an issue for Aita as he allowed three and took the loss.
Rubén Menes threw 1 ⅓ scoreless frames and struck out two in his Chiefs debut. D.J. Carpenter followed and yielded two runs, one earned, across an inning of work.
Great Lakes jumped ahead early with a run in the first and a pair of runs in the third to move in front 3-0.
The Chiefs moved within a run in the top of the fourth. Rainiel Rodriguez walked, Jalin Flores singled, and Josh Kross drew a walk to load the bases with no outs. Jesús Báez singled to score Rodriguez.

The Loons grabbed a run back in the home fourth.
The Chiefs inched within a run once more in the fifth. Tai Peete led off with a single. With one out, Peete stole second base and moved to third on a throwing error. Peete crossed home plate on a Flores sacrifice fly to move the Chiefs closer at 4-3.

Great Lakes scored twice in the sixth to increase their lead to 6-3. Peoria was unable to respond further.
The Chiefs scored three runs on six hits. Flores was 2-for-2, including a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Báez walked, singled, and drove in a run. Suárez notched an RBI via a sacrifice fly. Peete went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
On the bases, Peete swiped his fourth bag of the campaign.
Defensively, second baseman Báez committed a fielding error. Third baseman Flores made a throwing error. The Chiefs turned two double plays.

The Peoria Chiefs dropped a close nightcap at the Great Lakes Loons.
Leonel Sequera made his fifth start of the year for the Chiefs. The right-hander threw four innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits, one walk, and five strikeouts.
Christian Worley tossed a scoreless fifth in relief of Sequera. Bobby Olsen surrendered two runs in the sixth and took the loss.
Peoria opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first inning. Rainiel Rodriguez drew a walk and advanced to second on a Jesús Báez groundout. Cade McGee hit a groundball double to bring Rodriguez home.

The Loons plated two runs in the home first to take a 2-1 lead.
Peoria tied the game in the top of the fourth. McGee walked and swiped second base. The 23-year-old moved to third on a wild pitch and came home on a Miguel Villarroel single.

Great Lakes regained the lead at 3-2 with a run in the home fourth.
The Chiefs tied the game once more in the sixth. With two outs, McGee launched his first home run with the Chiefs, a solo shot.

The Loons scored twice in the sixth to move ahead 5-3. The Chiefs were unable to answer.
Peoria scored three runs on just four hits. McGee went 2-for-2, a double, a home run, and two RBI. Villarroel singled and plated one. Tai Peete tripled.
On the bases, McGee swiped his first bag at the High-A level but was picked off third base. Villarroel was picked off first.
On defense, third baseman Villarroel made a throwing error. Second baseman Tre Richardson III committed two errors, one fielding and one throwing. Jose Cordoba nailed a runner at first base from right field.
The Chiefs are 10-13 on the season.

Palm Beach Cardinals 1, Clearwater Threshers 16
The Low-A Palm Beach Cardinals were thrashed by the Clearwater Threshers at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium on Thursday.
Jacob Odle made his third start for Palm Beach. The right-hander recorded just two outs and yielded three unearned runs on no hits, four walks, and no strikeouts. Odle took the loss.
Kaden Echeman surrendered four runs as he walked five, and struck out two across two innings in relief of Odle. Jovi Gálvez followed with 1 ⅔ scoreless frames. Yordy Herrera yielded five runs over 1 ⅔ innings. Liam Best gave up three runs across 1 ⅔ frames. Heriberto Caraballo, who started the game at first base, made his first career pitching appearance and allowed one run over the final 1 ⅓ innings.
Clearwater jumped out to a 7-0 lead with three runs in the top of the first and four more in the third.
Palm Beach plated its only run in the home third. With two outs, Ryan Mitchell hit his second home run of the season, a solo shot, to put the Cardinals at 7-1.
The Threshers scored nine runs across the final four innings to put the contest out of reach at 16-1.
The Cardinals scored one run on five hits. Mitchell hit a solo home run. Yordalin Peña was 2-for-4. Caraballo and Brayden Smith singled. Luis Pino and Alex Birge walked.
Palm Beach did not record a stolen base.
Defensively, third baseman Ryan Weingartner committed a fielding error. Pitcher Herrera made a throwing error. Pitcher Gálvez picked a runner off first base.
Palm Beach is 15-9 on the season with a three-game lead in the Florida State League East.
