The St. Louis Cardinals system was 3-2 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day is FCL Cardinals RF Jose Suarez, who was 2-for-4 with a grand slam in the Cardinals win over the Mets. Other standouts include Masyn Winn, Tyler Reichenborn and Chandler Redmond.

The Memphis Redbirds blew past the Durham Bulls in a Wednesday night contest at AutoZone Park. Starter Dakota Hudson pitched five innings, gave up three runs, two earned, on seven hits, struck out three and walked two to earn his third win of the season.
Kyle Leahy relieved Hudson and surrendered one run in two innings of relief. JoJo Romero threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Guillermo Zuniga got the final two outs of the game.
The Bulls took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and added a second run in the top of the second. In the home half of the second, Memphis scored two to tie the game on a two-run home run by Taylor Motter.

Durham scored one in the third to regain the lead 3-2. The Redbirds again came back to score two in the fourth on a single by Kramer Robertson and a double by Chase Pinder.
Memphis widened the lead in the fifth to 6-3. Matt Koperniak singled and Ivan Herrera doubled to score Koperniak. Herrera stole third and scored on a throwing error.

The Bulls cut the lead to 6-4 in the sixth. The Redbirds cemented their win with a three-run eighth to lead 9-4. Juniel Querecuto, Kramer Robertson and Chase Pinder each singled. With the bases loaded, Masyn Winn singled to score Querecuto and Robertson. Pinder was thrown out at third base.
Koperniak was hit by a pitch and Dylan Carlson walked. Herrera reached on an error and Winn scored.
Winn was 2-for-5 with two RBI. Koperniak was 2-for-4 and Querecuto was 3-for-3. Robertson was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Pinder was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
On the base paths, Winn stole his 13th base of the season. Querecuto swiped two bags. Robertson stole his 10th base and Herrera took his fifth . Querecuto was picked off third base.
In the field, Winn made a throwing error. Herrera had a passed ball.
Memphis is 33-25 on the season and is in second place in the International League West, two games back of St. Paul.

The Springfield Cardinals beat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in a 6-4 contest at Hammons Field on Wednesday. Starter Wilfredo Pereira pitched six innings, gave up three runs on five hits, struck out two and walked three to earn his fourth win of the season.
Chris Roycroft relieved Pereira and threw two scoreless innings of relief. Logan Sawyer surrendered one run in the ninth but earned his fifth save.
The Naturals took a 3-0 lead in the second inning. In the third, Springfield put up five runs to take the lead 5-3. Irving Lopez began the inning with a single. Mike Antico singled and Noah Mendlinger drew a walk. Pedro Pages plated Lopez and Antico on a single. Chandler Redmond then hit a three-run home run.
Yes, Chandler Redmond still leads the Texas League in home runs.

The Cardinals added a run in the fourth. Justin Toerner drew a walk and later scored on a force out by Mendlinger.
NW Arkansas scored their final run in the ninth.
Pages was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Antico was 2-for-3 and Lopez was 2-for-4. Redmond had three RBI.
On the base paths, Antico and Nick Dunn were both caught stealing.
Springfield is 25-28 on the season and is in third place in the Texas League North, 10 games back of Tulsa.

The Peoria Chiefs fell to the Beloit Sky Carp in a three-run loss at Dozer Park on Wednesday. Starter Alex Cornwell pitched seven innings, gave up one unearned run on six hits and struck out seven.
Gustavo Rodriguez relieved Cornwell and surrendered five runs in the eighth to take the loss. Nathanael Heredia relinquished two runs in the ninth.
Beloit scored first with one run in the fourth but Peoria quickly tied it in the fifth. Jimmy Crooks walked, Jeremy Rivas walked and Osvaldo Tovalin was hit by a pitch. Crooks scored on a sac fly by Ramon Mendoza.
The Chiefs put up four runs in the seventh to take a 5-1 lead. Rivas, Tovalin, and Mendoza all singled. Rivas scored on a passed ball. Tyler Reichenborn then blasted a three-run home run.

The game got away from Peoria as the Sky Carp scored three runs in the eighth and four runs in the ninth to win 8-5.
Reichenborn was 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In the field, Tovalin made a fielding error and Rivas had two fielding miscues. Nathan Church had an outfield assist at home plate.
Peoria is 24-29 on the season and is in fifth place in the Midwest League West, 5.5 games back of Cedar Rapids.

The Palm Beach Cardinals were edged by the Jupiter Hammerheads in a one-run loss at Roger Dean Stadium on Wednesday. Starter Hancel Rincon pitched 6 1/3 innings, gave up two runs on five hits, struck out four and walked one.
Joseph King relieved Rincon and surrendered two runs in the final 1 2/3 innings. King took the loss.
The Beach Birds scored their first run in the first inning. Alex Iadisernia drew a walk and Leonardo Bernal walked. Both runners advanced on a passed ball. Iadisernia scored on a ground out by Michael Curialle.
Palm Beach added to their lead with one run in the second. Joshua Baez singled and later scored on a single by Brandon Hernandez.
A third run came home for the Cardinals in the third on a solo home run by R.J. Yeager.

The Cardinals led 3-0 until the seventh inning. In that inning, Jupiter scored four runs to take the lead. Palm Beach was unable to answer.
Hernandez was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Yeager and Curialle each had an RBI. The offense was 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base.
On the base paths, Lizandro Espinoza stole his ninth base of the season. In the field, King picked a runner off first base.
Palm Beach is 31-22 on the season and is in first place in the FSL East.

The Florida Complex League Cardinals blanked the Mets in a 5-0 contest at Roger Dean Stadium on Wednesday. Starter Darlin Saladin pitched five scoreless innings, allowed two hits, struck out four and walked two to earn his first win of the season.
Wilmer Ortega relieved Saladin and threw two scoreless innings. Bruno Lopez and Samuel Fabian each tossed a scoreless inning.
The game was scoreless until the Cardinals put up four runs in the fifth on a grand slam by Jose Suarez. The Cardinals added a run in the eighth. Yancel Guerrero singled, Adari Grant singled and Guerrero advanced to third. He scored on a ground out by Fernando Diaz.
Suarez was 2-for-4 with four RBI and Grant went 2-for-4.
On the base paths, Jose Cordoba stole his first base of the season. In the field, Anyelo Encarnacion made a throwing error. Grant had two fielding miscues. Saladin picked two runners off first base.
The Cardinals are 2-0 on the season.
