The Triple-A Redbirds lost to the Bats in an extra innings game at AutoZone Park on Tuesday.
Tink Hence made his first start as the opener pitched one inning and gave up one run on one hit, two walks and a strikeout.
Brandt Thompson followed Hence and threw six innings, allowed three runs on four hits, walked two and struck out three in his Triple-A debut.

Skylar Hales relieved Thompson and threw a scoreless eighth. Hancel Rincon surrendered two unearned runs in the final three innings and took the loss.
Louisville took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Memphis took a lead 2-1 in the home half of the first.

The Bats put up three runs in the third to take the lead at 3-2 and they made it 4-2 in the fourth.
The Redbirds cut the lead to 4-3 in the fifth. Jeremy Rivas doubled and scored on a double by Báez.

In the eighth, Memphis tied the game at 4-4. Rehabbing Lars Nootbaar walked and scored on a triple by Blaze Jordan.

The game stayed tied at four to bring extra innings. Louisville plated the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th. Memphis answered by doing the same. Ramon Mendoza began the inning at second. Mendoza advanced to third on a ground out by Prieto. Báez brought him home on an infield single.

In the 11th, the Bats scored to make it 6-5. The Redbirds failed to score in the bottom of the inning.
Memphis scored five runs on eight hits. Báez was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored, and three RBI. Rivas doubled and scored a run. Jordan tripled and scored a run. Bernal singled and scored.
On defense, Rincon made an error on a pickoff. Báez had an outfield assist at third base.
Memphis is 35-23 on the season and is tied for second place in the International League.

The Double-A Springfield Cardinals edged the Frisco RoughRiders in a 7-6 contest on Tuesday.
Starter Chen-Wei Lin pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up two runs on five hits, walked three, and fanned four.
Darlin Saladin relieved Lin and surrendered one run in 1 ⅓ innings and earned the win.
Dominic Picone threw two scoreless innings. Austin Love hurled a scoreless eighth. Ryan Murphy yielded three runs in the ninth.
Frisco took a 1-0 lead in the third inning. In the top of the fourth, Springfield scored two runs to take the lead 2-1. Rainiel Rodriguez walked. Zach Levenson singled. Travis Honeyman plated Rodriguez and Levenson on a single.

The RoughRiders tied the game in the home half of the fourth. The Cardinals plated four runs in the top of the fifth to retake the lead 6-2.
Miguel Villarroel tripled and scored on a single by Jon Jon Gazdar. Miguel Ugueto doubled. Ryan Campos ripped a double to score Gazdar and Ugueto.

Levenson singled. Campos crossed home plate on a balk to extend the lead to 6-2.
Frisco cut the lead to 6-3 in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the ninth, Springfield added a run on a solo home run by Campos to lead 7-3.

The RoughRiders rallied for three runs in the bottom of the inning to shrink the final score to 7-6.
The Cardinals scored seven runs on 11 hits. Campos was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Gazdar was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Levenson was 2-for-5. Honeyman singled and notched two RBI.
Campos stole his 10th base of the season.
On defense, second baseman Villarroel made two errors, one throwing and one fielding.
Springfield is 24-27 on the season. They are in third place in the Texas League North.

The High-A Peoria Chiefs routed the Beloit Sky Carp in an 11-1 pounding on Tuesday at Dozer Park.
Starter Yhoiker Fajardo pitched 4 ⅔ innings, gave up one run on five hits, walked three and struck out three.
Bobby Olsen relieved Fajardo and threw 1 ⅓ scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. Gerardo Salas hurled a scoreless seventh. Jason Savacool pitched a scoreless eighth. Dominic Freeberger tossed a scoreless ninth.
Peoria took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Jesús Báez singled. Jack Gurevitch followed with a two run home run.

The Chiefs added a run in the second frame to move ahead 3-0. Cameron Nickens walked. José Suárez singled. Nickens and Suárez stole second and third, respectively, on a double steal. Luis Pino walked to load the bases. Báez walked with the bags full to force Nickens home.
In the fourth, the Chiefs erupted for six runs to widen the lead to 9-0.

Beloit scored their only run of the game in the fifth. Peoria added two more runs in the eighth on a two run home run by Suárez.

The offense scored 11 runs on 12 hits. Suárez was 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored. Báez was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Gurevitch was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Flores was 2-for-6 with an RBI. Nickens scored two runs.
On the bases, Nickens stole his first base for Peoria. Suárez swiped his ninth bag. Cho was caught stealing.

The Low-A Palm Beach Cardinals were pounded by the Tampa Tarpons in a 12-1 rout on Tuesday.
Starter Payton Graham pitched 2 ⅔ innings, gave up one run on two hits, walked one, and struck out three.
Kaden Echeman relieved Graham and surrendered three runs, two earned, in 1 ⅓ innings of relief. Liam Best relinquished three unearned runs in two innings pitched. Jesús García yielded five runs in 1 ⅓ innings. Dylan Driessen tossed the final ⅔ scoreless innings.
Tampa took a 1-0 lead in the third inning. Palm Beach tied the game in the top of the fourth.
Ryan Weingartner reached on an error and stole second base. Michael Dattalo plated Weingartner on a double.
The Tarpons regained the lead 3-1 in the home half of the fourth. Tampa continued to add on with four runs in the fifth, and five runs in the eighth to win 12-1.
The Cardinals scored one run on five hits. Anyelo Encarnación was 2-for-3. Dattalo doubled for the team’s only extra-base hit and drove in the lone run.
On the basepaths, Encarnación stole his first base of the season. Weingartner swiped his 16th bag. Chase Heath stole his fifth base. Encarnacion was picked off first base and caught stealing second base.
Third baseman Weingartner made a fielding error.
The Cardinals are 29-23 on the season. They are in first place in the Florida State League East.

FCL Cardinals 1 at FCL Marlins 13 (six innings)
The Florida Complex League Cardinals were walloped by the Marlins in a rain-shortened game at Roger Dean Stadium on Tuesday. Starter Andrew Dutkanych IV pitched 2/3 innings, gave up four runs on three hits, walked one and struck out two. Dutkanych took the loss.
Jarol Baéz relieved Dutkanych and surrendered one run in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Branneli Franco relinquished six runs in 2 1/3 innings. Yordy Herrera yielded two runs in the final 2/3 innings.
The Cardinals scored their lone run of the game in the top of the first inning. Cristofer Lebrón walked and later scored on single by Miguel Hernández.
The Marlins answered with four runs in the home half of the first to lead 4-1. They added one run in each of the next three innings, then scored six runs in the fifth. The game was called due to rain with one out in the top of the sixth.
The Cardinals scored one run on three hits. All hits were singles. Hernandez walked, singled, and drove in the lone Cardinals run. Yaxson Lucena and Sebastian Dos Santos tallied a hit apiece.
On the bases, Hernandez was caught stealing.
Defensively, right fielder Daniel Rojas had an outfield assist at second base. Catcher Juan Rujano had a passed ball.
The Cardinals are 6-15 on the season. They are in last place in the FCL East.

DSL Cardinals 6 at DSL Colorado 5 (seven innings)
The Dominican Summer League Cardinals topped Colorado in a 6-5 win on Tuesday.
Starter Juan García pitched 2 2/3 innings, gave up one run on five hits, and fanned five.
Domingo Mejía relieved García and threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his first win.
Jordan Beltrán surrendered three runs in 2/3 innings. Javier Martínez yielded one run in two innings. Christian Sáez got the final out of the game to earn his first save.
The Cardinals went up 3-0 in the first inning. Sebastian Rojas doubled. Christopher Vargas singled. Luis Estrella singled to score Rojas.
Michael Cordero walked to load the bases. Lucas Takahashi walked to force Vargas home. Estrella came home on a sac fly by Misael Sánchez.
The Cardinals added a run in the second on a solo home run by Rojas to increase the lead to 4-0.
Colorado answered with a run in the third to cut the lead to 4-1.
The Cardinals made it 5-1 in the top of the fifth on a solo home run by Cordero.
Colorado added three runs in the home half of the fifth to shrink the lead to 5-4.
In the top of the seventh, the Cardinals extended the lead to 6-4. Vargas reached on an error. Takahashi walked. Sánchez plated Vargas on a single.
Colorado rallied for one run in the bottom of the seventh to bring the final score to 6-5.
The DSL Cardinals scored six runs on 10 hits. Rojas was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, an RBI and two runs scored. Cordero was 2-for-3 with a home run. Sánchez had two RBI. Vargas scored two runs.
On the bases, Yeferson Portolatin was caught stealing.
On defense, left fielder Estrella had an outfield assist at home plate. Catcher Jhonny Chapparo had a passed ball.
