The St. Louis Cardinals minor league system was 1-1 on Monday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, DSL Cardinals outfielder Cristofer Lebron, hit two doubles and drove in two runs. Other standouts include Juan Rujano, Brailyn Paulino, and Alan Reyes.

Memphis Redbirds (off-day)
The Triple-A Memphis Redbirds were off on Monday as they traveled home to AutoZone Park to begin a six-game series with the Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday. The Redbirds enter play on Tuesday with momentum following an 8-4 road trip.
Memphis is 31-24 on the season, tied for third place in the International League West Division.
Tuesday’s game: vs. Indianapolis (PIT), RHP Michael McGreevy (6-1, 3.02) vs. RHP Thomas Harrington (2-5, 6.87) 7:05 PM CT.
Springfield Cardinals (off-day)
The Double-A Springfield Cardinals were off on Monday as they headed to Riders Field in Frisco, Texas, to begin a six-game set with the Frisco RoughRiders on Tuesday.
Springfield is 27-24 on the season following a series split at home with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. They lead the Texas League North Division by one game.
Tuesday’s game: at Frisco (TEX), TBA vs. Florencio Serrano (1-2, 3.48) 7:05 PM CT.
Peoria Chiefs (off-day)
The High-A Peoria Chiefs were off on Monday as they traveled home to Dozer Park to begin a six-game series with the Quad Cities River Bandits on Tuesday.
Peoria is 19-31 on the season after taking just one of six from the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on the road and reside in fifth place in the Midwest League West Division.
Tuesday’s game: vs. Quad Cities (KC). Pitching probables have not yet been announced. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM CT.
Palm Beach Cardinals (off-day)
The Low-A Palm Beach Cardinals were off on Monday as they traveled to Lee Health Sports Complex in Fort Myers, Florida, to begin a six-game series with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels on Tuesday.
Palm Beach is 23-27 on the season after taking one of five from the St. Lucie Mets. The series finale was postponed on Sunday due to rain and field conditions and will be made up as part of a doubleheader at a later date. The Cardinals reside in third place in the Florida State League East Division.
Tuesday’s game: at Fort Myers (MIN). Pitching probables have not yet been announced. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 PM CT.
FCL Cardinals 3 at FCL Marlins 2
The Florida Complex League Cardinals edged the Marlins in a road contest at Roger Dean Stadium Complex on Monday.
Tink Hence started for the Cardinals in a rehab assignment, as he works to rejoin the Memphis Redbirds. The right-hander pitched one scoreless inning on one hit, one walk, and one strikeout.
Juan Severino tossed a scoreless frame in relief of Hence. Yadiel Batista followed and allowed two runs with two strikeouts across four innings, to pick up his third win of the season. Alan Reyes collected his first save of 2025 with three shutout frames. The right-hander sports a pristine 0.75 ERA through 12 innings on the year.
The Marlins broke the scoreless tie with one run in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Cardinals immediately answered with a two-run fifth.
Hancel Almonte singled and advanced to second base on a Facundo Velasquez walk. Velasquez and Almonte moved to second and third, respectively, on a wild pitch. Almonte scored on the second wild pitch of the inning to tie the game at one, with Velasquez advancing to third on the play. Yairo Padilla brought Velasquez home on a sacrifice fly to put the Cardinals in front 2-1.
The Cardinals added a run in the sixth. Andru Arthur drew a walk. Yancel Guerrero reached first on a forceout play with Arthur out at second base. Paulo Asprilla lined his first double of the season to score Guerrero to extend the lead to 3-1.
The Cardinals’ pitching held strong in the victory.
The Cardinals scored three runs on four hits. Asprilla recorded the lone Cardinals extra-base hit, a double, and drove in one run. Almonte, Bracewell Taveras, and Rainiel Rodriguez each tallied a single. Padilla drove in the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly.
On the bases, Guerrero and Velasquez were each caught stealing second base.
On defense, shortstop Padilla committed a fielding error. Velasquez nailed a runner at second base from right field.
The FCL Cardinals are 10-9 on the season and reside in third place in the FCL East Division. They will play a home contest at Roger Dean Stadium Complex with the FCL Astros on Tuesday.
Tuesday’s game: vs. FCL Astros. Pitching probables have not yet been announced. First pitch is scheduled for 9:00 AM CT.
DSL Cardinals 7, DSL Colorado 9
The Dominican Summer League Cardinals lost a close contest to DSL Colorado at the St. Louis Cardinals DR Complex in the first game of the season on Monday.
Earle Zulueta made his first professional start for the Cardinals. The right-hander pitched three innings of one-run baseball on one hit, no walks, and three strikeouts.
Daniel Gomez allowed three runs in ⅔ of an inning in his professional debut in relief of Zulueta. Brailyn Paulino fired 2 ⅓ scoreless innings on no hits and fanned three. Reiner Lopez surrendered three runs across two innings and was charged with a blown save. Guanchi Martinez yielded two runs in the ninth inning and took the loss.
The Cardinals scored four runs in the first inning at the plate in the 2025 DSL season.
Kenly Hunter drew a lead-off walk and moved to third base on a Miguel Hernandez single. Hernandez stole second base to put two runners in scoring position. Juan Rujano brought Hunter and Hernandez home on a single to put the Cardinals ahead 2-0. Yaxson Lucena advanced Rujano to third base via a single. Lucena swiped second base. Cristofer Lebron doubled home Rujano and Lucena to stretch the lead to 4-0.
Colorado tied the game with a run in the third and a three-run fourth inning. The Cardinals regained the lead with a pair of runs in the fifth inning.
Hunter was hit by a pitch and moved to second base on a Hernandez groundout. Edward Guribe brought Hunter home with a single for a 5-4 Cardinals lead. Lucena followed with a double to score Guribe and extend the lead to 6-4.
Colorado plated a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to take a 7-6 lead. The Cardinals tied the game in the eighth.
Lebron doubled and moved to third base on a fielding error, with Juan Pablo Cabrera reaching first base on the play. Sebastian Dos Santos lined a single to bring Lebron home and tie the game at seven.
Colorado scored two in the ninth to take a late lead. The Cardinals failed to answer.
The DSL Cardinals scored seven runs on 10 hits. Lebron was 2-for-3, including two doubles, a walk, a run scored, and two RBI. Lucena went 2-for-4, including a double, a run scored, and one RBI. Hernandez collected two hits, including a double, in his professional debut. Rujano tallied a single, a run scored, and two RBI in his professional debut. Dos Santos singled and drove in a run in his first career game.
On the bases, Hernandez stole the first bag of his career. Lucena swiped his first base. Lebron was caught stealing second base.
On defense, pitcher Lopez committed a pickoff error.
The DSL Cardinals are 0-1 on the season. They will travel to the Texas Rangers DR Complex in Arlington to play the DSL Rangers Red on Tuesday.
