The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-2 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Palm Beach LH Braden Davis, pitched six scoreless innings on four hits and struck out 11. Other standouts include Jeremy Rivas, Anyelo Encarnacion, Jose Suarez, Facundo Velasquez, Edward Guribe and Juan Rujano.

Memphis vs. Charlotte (postponed)
Tuesday’s Triple-A series opener at AutoZone Park was postponed due to rain. It will be made up on Wednesday, July 9 as part of a doubleheader.
Memphis is 45-38 overall, 4-6 in the second half. They are three games back of first place in the IL West.
Wednesday’s games: vs. Charlotte, Game 1, RHP Curtis Taylor (4-2, 3.03) vs RHP Mike Clevinger (3-2, 4.30), Game 2, RHP Zach Plesac (0-4, 10.18) vs. TBD (CHLT) 5:05 CT.
Springfield 7 at Corpus Christi 1
The Double-A Cardinals beat the Hooks on the road by a 7-1 score on Tuesday.
In his 14th start of 2025, Brycen Mautz pitched five innings, gave up one run on four hits, fanned four and walked one to earn just his second win of the season.
Zane Mills relieved Mautz and threw two scoreless innings. Leonardo Taveras hurled 1/3 of a scoreless inning. Luis Gastelum tossed the final 1 2/3 scoreless innings.
The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Dakota Harris doubled. Ramon Mendoza reached on an error as Harris scored.
The Hooks tied the game in the home second.
Springfield made it 2-1 in the third. Noah Mendlinger walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Leonardo Bernal singled to plate Mendlinger.
The Cardinals increased their lead to 4-1 in the fifth. St. Louis rehabber Jordan Walker and Chase Davis walked. They executed a double steal before Jeremy Rivas plated both on a single.
In the seventh, the Cardinals extended their lead to 5-1. Walker drew his second walk. Joshua Baez also took a free pass. Rivas plated Walker on a single.
Springfield added two runs in the ninth for the final score of 7-1. Davis doubled. Baez reached on an error and Davis came home. Baez went to second on a wild pitch. Rivas walked. Baez stole third. Dakota Harris drove in Baez on a single.
The Cardinals scored seven runs on seven hits. Rivas was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Harris was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Walker and Davis each scored two runs.
Walker stole his first base. Davis swiped his fifth bag. Baez stole his 14th base.
Springfield is 51-31 overall, 8-5 in the second half and is one game back of a two-way tie between Arkansas and Wichita.
Wednesday’s game: at Corpus Christi, Pete Hansen LHP (5-3, 4.11) vs. Joey Mancini RHP (0-8, 4.38) 6:35 CT.
Peoria vs. Cedar Rapids (postponed)
The High-A Midwest League series opener with the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Dozer Park was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, July 11.
Peoria is 35-45 overall, 9-6 in the second half, and is one game out of first place in the Midwest League West.
Wednesday’s game: vs. Cedar Rapids, RHP Jason Savacool (2-0, 2.75) vs. RHP Jacob Kisting (0-1, 1.70) 12:05 CT.
The Low-A Cardinals blanked the Blue Jays by a 7-0 score on Tuesday at Roger Dean Stadium.
Starter Braden Davis pitched six scoreless innings, allowed four hits, fanned 11 and walked one to earn his second win.
Jack Findlay relieved Davis and threw two scoreless innings. Sam Brodersen tossed a scoreless ninth.
The Beach Birds went up 1-0 in the first inning. Raniel Rodriguez singled. He advanced on a throwing error and scored on a sac fly by Deniel Ortiz.
In the fifth, Palm Beach increased the lead to 3-0. Jose Suarez doubled. Sammy Hernandez singled. Anyelo Encarnacion singled to score Suarez. Rodriguez walked. Ortiz walked and Hernandez was forced in.
The Cardinals extended their lead to 6-0 in the sixth. Cade McGee walked. Suarez and Hernandez singled. Encarnacion plated McGee on a single.
Palm Beach scored their final run in the eighth on a solo home run by Suarez.
The Cardinals scored seven runs on nine hits. Encarnacion was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Suarez was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored. Ortiz had two RBI. Hernandez was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Suarez stole his 11th base of the season but was also caught stealing. Ortiz was picked off first base.
On defense, Encarnacion made a throwing error.
Palm Beach is 37-43 overall, 5-10 in the second half, and is in last place in the FSL East, four games back of St. Lucie.
Wednesday’s game: at Jupiter, RHP Jacob Odle (0-2, 8.68) vs. TBD 5:00 CT.
FCL Cardinals 9 at FCL Mets 10
The rookie Cardinals were edged by the Mets by a 10-9 score on Tuesday. Starter Hunter Kublick pitched two innings, gave up four runs on four hits, struck out two and walked one.
Keiverson Ramirez relieved Kublick and surrendered one unearned run in three innings. Antoni Cuello yielded four runs in the 1 1/3 innings and was charged with a blown save. Alan Reyes allowed one unearned run in the final 1 2/3 innings and took the loss.
The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and added three runs in the second.
In the third, the Cardinals cut the Mets’ lead to 4-3. Romtres Cabrera walked. Yaisel Ramos doubled. Cabrera scored on a ground out by Chris Lopez. Facundo Velasquez doubled to plate Ramos. Velasquez advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a ground out by Johnfrank Salazar.
The Mets added to their lead with a run in the fourth to make it 5-3.
The Cardinals answered with four runs in the fifth to take a 7-5 lead. Ramos walked. Lopez singled. Velasquez doubled to drive in Ramos. Salazar reached on a fielder’s choice and Lopez was thrown out at home. Bracewell Taveras singled to score Velasquez. Taveras stole second base, and Salazar stole home. Taveras came home on a ground out by Yancel Guerrero.
The Mets scored two in the sixth to tie the game, then added two runs in the seventh to regain the lead 9-7.
In the top of the eighth, the Cardinals tied the game with two runs. Taveras singled. Guerrero was hit by a pitch. Both runners advanced on a passed ball. Andru Arthur walked. Daniel Rojas grounded into a force out and Taveras scored. Arthur was out at second. Rojas was caught stealing and Guerrero scored.
The Mets broke the tie with a run scored in the home eighth for the 10-9 final margin.
The Cardinals scored nine runs on seven hits. Velasquez was 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Taveras was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Ramos scored two runs.
Taveras stole his eighth base of the season. Salazar swiped his first base in the FCL. Rojas was caught stealing.
On defense, Taveras committed a throwing error. Ramirez made an error on a pickoff attempt.
The Cardinals are 18-26 on the season and are in last place in the Florida Complex League East, 11.5 games back of the FCL Astros.

DSL Cardinals 9 at DSL NYY Bombers 10
The Dominican Cardinals lost to the Bombers (NYY) by a single run on Tuesday. Starter Gabriel Chinchilla pitched 4 2/3 innings, gave up four runs on seven hits, fanned five and walked two.
Kriscol Peralta relieved Chinchilla and surrendered one run in 1/3 of an inning. Branneli Franco yielded two runs in the sixth. Reiner Lopez allowed three runs, one earned, in 1 2/3 innings and took the loss. Ryan Rodriguez tossed the final 1/3 of a scoreless inning.
The Cardinals went up 3-0 in the second inning. Edward Guribe, Juan Rujano and Cristofer Lebron singled. Juan Pablo Cabrera singled and Guribe scored. Michael Cordero plated Rujano on a single. Lebron came home on a wild pitch.
In the third, the Bombers cut the lead to 3-1. In the top of the fourth, a solo home run by Lebron increased the lead to 4-1.
The Bombers scored a second run in the home fourth to shrink the lead to 4-2. The Cardinals answered with two runs in the top of the fifth to widen the lead to 6-2. Miguel Hernandez singled. Guribe followed with a two-run home run.
The Bombers responded with three runs in the home fifth to pull to within one run. They scored twice more in the sixth to take a 7-6 lead.
In the top of the eighth, the Cardinals tied the game at 7-7. Lebron doubled and later came home on an error. The Bombers again answered with a three-run eighth to take the lead at 10-7.
The Cardinals partially rallied in the top of the ninth on a two-run home run by Rujano to narrow the lead to 10-9 but came up short.
The Cardinals scored nine runs on 11 hits. Guribe was 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Rujano was 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Lebron was 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored. Hernandez scored two runs.
On the bases, Cordero stole his first base of the season. Lebron was caught stealing.
On defense, Hernandez and Guribe both made throwing errors. Sebastian Dos Santos had a fielding miscue. Lebron had an outfield assist at third base.
The DSL Cardinals are 15-12 on the season and are in first place by one game in the Southeast Division.
