The St. Louis Cardinals system was 5-1 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, CF Yaisel Ramos, was 3-for-5 with five RBI in the FCL Cardinals’ blowout Game 2 win. Other standouts include Gordon Graceffo, Masyn Winn and Felix Taveras.

The Memphis Redbirds defeated the Indians in a 4-1 win in Indianapoilis on Wednesday. Starter Gordon Graceffo pitched six innings, gave up one unearned run on three hits, struck out one and walked two to earn his second win.
In his Triple-A debut, Logan Gragg tossed the final three scoreless innings of relief to earn the save.
The Redbirds plated two runs in the top of the second. Jose Fermin drew a walk. Juniel Querecuto singled. Tres Barrera walked. Richie Palacios walked, and Fermin scored. Querecuto came home on a bases-loaded walk by Masyn Winn.
The Indians cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the second. Winn’s two run home run in the fourth, his ninth of the season, gave Memphis the 4-1 lead.

The Redbirds scored four runs on five hits. No Redbird had multiple hits. Winn had three RBI. In the first game of his minor league injury rehab, designated hitter Tyler O’Neill doubled and struck out in three at-bats.
In the field, Barrera and Juan Yepez each made a throwing error.
Memphis is 2-6 in the second half, 41-42 on the season, and is in ninth place in the International League West, 4.5 games back of first place St. Paul.
Thursday’s game: at Indianapolis, TBA (MEM) vs Quinn Priester RHP (7-3, 4.54) 6:05 CT.
The Springfield Cardinals edged the Sod Poodles in a ninth inning rally on Wednesday. Starter Connor Lunn pitched seven innings, gave up four runs on six hits, struck out five and walked one.
Logan Sawyer tossed the final two scoreless innings of relief to earn his third win of the season.
Springfield scored two runs in the second inning to take the lead. Noah Mendlinger reached on an error. Errol Robinson singled. L.J. Jones singled and Mendlinger came home. Robinson crossed the plate on a sac fly by Aaron Antonini.
In the third, the Cardinals increased the lead to 3-0 on a solo home run by Nick Dunn.
Amarillo took the lead with four runs in the fourth.
The score remained at 4-3 until the bottom of the ninth, when Robinson’s two-run home run gave Springfield the 5-4 walk off win.

Robinson was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Dunn was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Victor Scott II was 2-for-5. Jones was 2-for-4.
On the base paths, Mike Antico stole his 25th base of the season and 100th of his career. In the field, Lunn picked a runner off first base.
Springfield is 4-4 in the second half, 38-39 on the season, and is tied for second place in the Texas League North, 1.5 games back of Arkansas.
Thursday’s game: vs. Amarillo, RHP Edgar Escobar (7-2, 4.22) vs. Luke Albright RHP (5-2, 5.64) 7:05 CT.
Peoria at South Bend (suspended)
This game was suspended in the ninth inning due to lightning with the game tied 6-6. The game will be completed on July 6 as part of a doubleheader.

Palm Beach 6 at Clearwater 5 (12 innings)
The Low-A Cardinals edged the Threshers in a 12 inning road win on Wednesday. Starter Pete Hansen pitched five innings, gave up two runs on four hits, struck out two and walked two.
Henry Gomez threw three scoreless innings of relief. Tanner Jacobson surrendered two runs in two innings pitched. Luis Gastelum relinquished one unearned run in the final two innings.
The Beach Birds scored two runs in the second inning to take the lead. Jose Cordoba was hit by a pitch. Lizandro Espinoza doubled. Brandon Hernandez walked. Jonathan Mejia walked, and Cordoba came home. Espinoza was brought in on a sac fly by Won-Bin Cho.
Palm Beach increased their lead to 4-0 in the top of the sixth. Cordoba singled and Adanson Cruz doubled. Cordoba scored on an Ezpinoza single. Espinoza was eliminated on a force out. Cruz came home on a Mejia single.
Clearwater got on the board with two runs in the home half of the sixth to cut the lead to 4-2. The Threshers tied the game in the ninth.
After two innings with no score, the Cardinals plated two runs in the 12th on a Leonardo Bernal double and a Cruz single.
Clearwater scored just one run in the bottom of the 12th.
Cho and Espinoza were each 2-for-5 with an RBI. Cruz was 2-for-6 with an RBI. Mejia drove in two.
On the base paths, Cho stole his 20th base of the season. Chris Rotondo stole his eighth base.
Mejia made a fielding error.
Palm Beach is 3-8 in the second half, 40-36 on the season, and is in last place in the FSL East, four games back of Daytona.

FCL Cardinals 5 at FCL Nationals 6 (eight innings, Game 1)
The rookie-level Cardinals were topped by the Nationals in a one run loss on Wednesday that completed the suspended June 30 contest. Inohan Paniagua made another rehab start and pitched one scoreless inning with one hit allowed and two strikeouts.
Gerado Salas surrendered two runs in 3 2/3 relief innings. Ettore Guilianelli threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Samuel Fabian relinquished four runs, three earned, in the final 1 1 /3 innings and took the loss.
The Cardinals took the lead in the third inning on a two-run home run by Felix Taveras. The Nationals tied the game in the fifth.
The Cardinals regained the lead with two runs in the sixth on a solo home run by Alejandro Loaiza and a bases loaded walk by Yasiel Ramos.
The Nationals scored two in the seventh to tie the game a third time and sent it into extras. The Cardinals added a run in the top of the eighth. Jose Suarez began the inning on second base and later scored on a wild pitch.
The Nationals walked it off in the home half of the eighth with two runs against Fabian.
Grant was 2-for-2. Taveras had two RBI.
On the base paths, Yaisel Ramos and Miguel Vargas each stole a base. Anyelo Encarnacion was caught stealing.
In the field, Encarnacion made a throwing error. Jose Cordoba had an outfield assist at third base.
FCL Cardinals 14 at FCL Nationals 1 (seven innings, Game 2)
In the second game of Wednesday’s twin bill, the Cardinals demolished the Nationals in a 14-1 blowout. Starter Leonel Sequera pitched four scoreless innings, allowed two hits, struck out six and walked one.
Omar Yanez surrendered one run two innings of relief and received the win. Yonael Dominguez tossed a scoreless seventh.
The Cardinals scored three runs in the second inning to take the lead. Yancel Guerrero singled and stole second base. Raul Guzman singled to score Guerrero. Guzman scored on a double by Adari Grant. Felix Taveras plated Grant on a double.
The Cardinals made it 5-0 in the fourth. Guerrero doubled and scored on a single by Taveras. Taveras stole second and came home on a single by Jose Suarez.
In the fifth, the Cardinals added four runs to increase the lead to 9-0. Romtres Cabrera walked and stole second. Miguel Vargas walked. Cabrera and Vargas executed a double steal. Yaisel Ramos doubled to plate Cabrera and Vargas. Guzman walked and Grant was hit by a pitch. Ramos came in on a Taveras ground out. Guzman scored on a single by Suarez.
The Nationals scored their only run in the sixth. In the seventh, the Cardinals put up five runs for a 14-1 lead. Grant tripled and scored on a single by Taveras. Suarez singled. Taveras and Suarez advanced on a wild pitch. Guerrero plated Taveras on a single. Ramos blasted a three-run home run to complete the scoring onslaught.
Ramos was 3-for-5 with five RBI and two runs scored. Taveras was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored. Suarez was 4-for-5 with two RBI. Grant was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Guerrero was 2-for-5 with two runs scored.
On the base paths, Suarez, Guerrero, Taveras, and Vargas each stole a base. Cabrera swiped two bags.
In the field, Guerrero made a fielding error.
The Cardinals are 9-12 on the season and are tied for third place in the FCL East, four games back of the FCL Mets.
Thursday’s game: vs. FCL Astros, TBA vs. TBA 11:00 am CT.
DSL Cardinals 5, DSL Colorado 3 (seven innings)
The DSL Cardinals defeated Colorado in a 5-3 home win on Wednesday. Starter Brailyn Paulino pitched two innings, gave up one run on two hits and struck out three.
Jose Suriel threw two scoreless innings of relief to earn his first win of the season. Stiveen Rojas relinquished two unearned runs in the final three innings.
In the second inning, Colorado took a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals answered with two in the third to go up 2-1. Fernando Roquez singled but was eliminated in a force out by Marcelo Perez. Chris Lopez drew a walk. Elias Reynoso singled, driving in Perez. Yordalin Perez singled. Lopez came home on a force out by Arfeni Batista.
The Cardinals increased the lead to 4-1 in the fourth on a two-run home run by Roquez. A fifth run came home in the sixth on a double by Heriberto Caraballo.
Colorado added two runs in the seventh to cut the lead to 5-3.
Roquez was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Caraballo was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
In the field, Reynoso made a fielding error.
The Cardinals are 6-15 on the season and are tied for seventh place in the DSL South, 9 games back of DSL Phillies White.
