The only two scheduled Monday games in the St. Louis Cardinals system were canceled and suspended. All clubs’ first post-break weekend series are recapped and the coming week’s action is previewed.

Memphis – off
Memphis (10-11) faced Iowa (10-11) (CHC) at home last weekend, going 1-2 against their division rival. The Redbirds are currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the International League West Division with Iowa and Gwinnett (ATL). All three teams are 2 ½ games behind West Division Columbus (CLE) and four games behind overall leaders Lehigh Valley (PHI) and Syracuse (NYM) who are atop the East Division.
West Division leader Columbus comes to AutoZone Park for a six-game set, beginning Tuesday.
Tuesday’s game: at first-place Columbus (12-8), 5:05 pm ET/4:05 pm CT, TBD
Springfield – off
Springfield spent Friday through Sunday at South Division opponent Amarillo (8-13) (AZ) where they won one and lost two. The S-Cards remain atop the North Division of the Texas League, one-half game up on Tulsa (LAD).
This week, Springfield hosts the South Division’s Corpus Christi Hooks (HOU) for six contests. The Hooks are in fifth place.
Tuesday’s game: vs. last-place (South Division) Corpus Christi (5-15), Trent Baker (3-6, 5.95)
Peoria – off
Over the weekend, Peoria (12-12) absorbed a three-game home sweep by now third-place Beloit (13-11) (MIA), dropping the Chiefs into fourth place in the West Division of the Midwest League. Peoria is 4 ½ games behind Wisconsin (MIL).
The Chiefs look to rebound on the road, traveling to sixth- and last-place South Bend (CHC) for six games.
Tuesday’s game: at sixth-place South Bend (7-17), 6:05 pm CT, LH Pete Hansen (4-6, 3.95)
Palm Beach – off
First-place Palm Beach (14-8) went 1-1 with a postponement at second-place Daytona (13-8) (CIN) last weekend, enough to remain one-half game ahead of their hosts in the East Division of the Florida State League. The Beach Birds remain on the road this week as they face fourth- and last-place St Lucie (NYM).
Tuesday’s game: at St Lucie (8-16), 6:05 pm ET/5:05 pm CT, TBD
FCL Cardinals vs. FCL Nationals – cancelled
The South Florida weather impacted the Florida Complex League Cardinals’ (19-32) schedule once again as their home contest versus third-place FCL Nationals (24-27) (WSH) was rained out. The game will not be rescheduled. The fifth- and last-place FCL Cardinals have been eliminated from post-season contention. Both squads compete in the East Division of the Florida Complex League.
Tuesday’s game: off
DSL Cardinals at DSL Mets Blue – suspended
The Dominican Summer League Cardinals’ (15-17) Monday contest at the DSL Mets Blue (12-21) was suspended in the bottom of the third with the Birds leading 2-1. However, the game will not be completed and the statistics will not count toward the season.
Tuesday’s game: at DSL Mariners (8-25), 11:00 am ET/10:00 CT, Keiverson Ramirez (3-0, 0.64)
