The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-3 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day is the Peoria offense, which scored 16 runs. Tai Peete led with a triple, two home runs and four RBI, and Jack Gurevitch had four hits, including three home runs and a career-high five RBI, along with José Suárez, Michael Dattalo, Ian Petrutz, and Sammy Hernandez. Other standouts include Leo Bernal and Yairo Padilla.

The Triple-A Redbirds were defeated by the Bulls by a 10-8 score at AutoZone Park on Tuesday.
Starter Pete Hansen pitched 4 1/3 innings, gave up six runs on nine hits, and fanned five. Hansen took the loss.
Austin Love relieved Hansen and surrendered four runs, three earned, in just 2/3 of an inning. Brycen Mautz threw two scoreless frames. Ryan Fernandez hurled 2/3 of a scoreless inning. Hancel Rincon tossed the final 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
Durham took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and increased it to 3-0 in the top of the second.
Memphis answered with four runs in the home second to take the lead. Leo Bernal, Chase Davis and Ramon Mendoza walked. Colton Ledbetter doubled to plate Bernal and Davis. Victor Scott singled to score Mendoza. Ledbetter came home on a sac fly by César Prieto.

The Bulls regained the lead with a seven-run top of the fifth to make it 10-4.
The Redbirds responded in the bottom of the inning with a solo home run by Nolan Gorman to cut the lead to 10-5.
Memphis chipped away at the lead with two more runs in the seventh. Thomas Saggese singled. Leo Bernal followed with a two-run home run.

The Redbirds added one more run in the ninth but fell short. Joshua Báez and Gorman singled. Bernal drove in Báez on a single.
The Redbirds scored eight runs on 13 hits. Bernal was 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Prieto and Gorman were both 2-for-4 with an RBI. Scott was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Thomas Saggese was 2-for-5. Ledbetter had two RBI.
Saggese stole his fifth base. Bernal made an error on a pickoff attempt. Davis had an outfield assist at second base.
Memphis is 8-14 in the second half.

Springfield 2 at NW Arkansas 6
The Double-A Cardinals fell to the Naturals by a 6-2 score on Tuesday.
Starter Chen-Wei Lin pitched five innings, gave up two runs on four hits and walked one. Lin took the loss.
Jack Findlay relieved Lin and surrendered three runs, two earned, in the sixth. Darlin Saladin yielded one run in 1 1/3 innings. Andrew Schultz tossed the final 2/3 of a scoreless inning.
NW Arkansas went up 2-0 in the first inning.
Springfield scored one run in the fourth. Jesús Báez singled and advanced to second on a ground out by Ryan Campos. Deniel Ortiz singled to score Báez.
The Naturals increased their lead to 6-1 with single runs in the sixth and eighth.
The Cardinals added one run in the ninth to bring the final score to 6-2. Ortiz singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Miguel Ugueto singled. Ortiz came home on a wild pitch.
The Cardinals scored two runs on nine hits. Ortiz was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Zach Levenson was 2-for-4. Tre Richardson was 2-for-3.
Dakota Harris stole his 25th base. Ortiz swiped his second bag. Richardson was caught stealing.
Rainiel Rodriguez was charged with catcher interference. Lin picked a runner off first base.
Springfield is 13-9 in the second half.

The High-A Chiefs pummeled the Whitecaps 16-2 at Dozer Park on Tuesday.
Starter Leonel Sequera pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up two unearned runs on three hits, walked four and fanned five.
Jawilme Ramírez relieved Sequera and finished the fourt. Nate Dohm threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Ruben Menes hurled 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Newcomer Trey Pooser surrendered one run in the ninth.
West Michigan took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Peoria answered with two runs in the home first to tie the game. Tai Peete and Jack Gurevitch hit solo home runs.

The Chiefs put up a six-run third inning to go ahead 8-2. Anyelo Encarnación walked. Peete hit his second home run, a two-run shot. Gurevitch walked but was eliminated in a force out by Josh Kross. José Suárez doubled. Michael Dattalo singled to plate Kross and Suárez. Ian Petrutz doubled to score Dattalo. Petrutz came home on a single by Sammy Hernandez.

Peoria made it 9-2 in the fifth. Suárez walked and later scored on a sac fly by Petrutz. The Chiefs added on with a four-run sixth to increase the lead to 13-2. Encarnación walked. Gurevitch hit a two-run home run. Jalin Flores singled and advanced to second on a ground out by Kross. Suárez singled to drive in Flores. Suárez scored on a double by Dattalo.
Peoria enlarged their lead to 16-2 with a three-run seventh. Hernandez singled but was put out on a force out by Encarnación. Peete tripled to plate Encarnación. Gurevitch blasted his third home run for two additional runs.

The Whitecaps scored one more run in the ninth for the final score of 16-3.
The offense scored 16 runs on 17 hits. Gurevitch was 4-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored. Peete was 3-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored. Dattalo was 2-for-5 with three RBI. Petrutz was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Suárez was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored. Hernandez was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Encarnación scored three runs.
Suárez stole two bases. Dattalo made a throwing error. Petrutz had an outfield assist at third base.
The Chiefs are 10-14 in the second half.

The Low-A Cardinals edged the Tarpons by a 4-3 score on Tuesday at Roger Dean Stadium.
Starter Payton Graham pitched 4 1/3 innings, gave up two runs on five hits, walked three and struck out three.
Hunter Kublick relieved Graham and finished the fifth. Zeke Wood hurled two scoreless innings to earn the win. Yadiel Batista pitched a scoreless eighth. Nelfy Ynfante surrendered one run in the ninth but received his third save.
Tampa went up 2-0 in the second inning.
Palm Beach answered with three runs in the third. Yairo Padilla singled and stole second. Ryan Mitchell walked. The runners executed a double steal. Padilla scored on a ground out by Ryan Weingartner. Matthew Miura walked and stole second. Brayden Smith walked. Yordalin Peña singled to plate Mitchell and Miura.
The Cardinals added a run in the fourth to extend the lead to 4-2. Chase Heath walked and advanced to second on a ground out. Padilla doubled to score Heath.
The Tarpons cut the lead to 4-3 in the ninth but their rally attempt fell short.
The Cardinals scored four runs on five hits. Padilla was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Peña had two RBI.
Weingartner stole his 30th base. Padilla swiped two bags. Mitchell stole his 24th base. Miura stole his 14th base. Peña and Padilla were picked off and caught stealing. Miura was caught stealing.
Peña had an outfield assist at home plate.
The Cardinals are 14-10 in the second half.

The rookie Cardinals are 20-30 on the season and are in fourth place in the FCL East. They have been eliminated from playoff contention.

DSL Cardinals 7 at DSL Rangers Blue 10
The Dominican Cardinals lost to the Rangers Blue by a 10-7 score on Tuesday.
Starter Jose Vega pitched three innings, gave up five runs on two hits, walked four and struck out two.
Javier Martínez relieved Vega and threw a scoreless fourth. Rafeli Moronta surrendered five runs, two earned, in two innings and took the loss. Brayan Amoroso tossed the final two scoreless innings.
The Cardinals took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Lucas Takahashi walked. Christopher Vargas singled. Jhonny Chaparro walked. Roberth Castillo doubled to plate Takahashi and Vargas.
The Rangers Blue answered with a run in the home second.
In the third, the Cardinals responded with a solo home run by Misael Sánchez to extend the lead to 3-1.
The Cardinals put up four runs in the top of the fourth to increase the lead to 7-1. Takahashi singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Chaparro singled to score Takahashi. Diego Conseción singled. Jhon Franganten followed with a three-run home run.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Rangers Blue posted four runs to shrink the lead to 7-5. They added two unanswered runs in the fifth, and three more in the sixth to take the lead and the game 10-7.
The Cardinals scored seven runs on nine hits. Sánchez was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Chaparro was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Franganten had three RBI. Castillo drove in two. Takahashi scored two runs.
Jesús Pérez made two errors, one throwing and one fielding. Moronta made an error on a pickoff attempt.
The Cardinals are 16-18 on the season and are in fourth place in the DSL Southeast.
