The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-1 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation Player of the Day, DSL shortstop Miguel Hernandez, was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Other standouts include Johnfrank Salazar and Sebastian Dos Santos.

Memphis is 47-42 overall, 6-10 in the second half. They are in ninth place in the IL West, 6.5 games back of IL leader Syracuse.

FCL Cardinals 5 at FCL Astros 4 (seven innings, game one)
The rookie Cardinals edged the Astros in the first game of a twin bill on Tuesday. Starter Keiverson Ramirez pitched 2 2/3 innings, gave up three runs on five hits, and struck out three.
Alan Reyes relieved Ramirez and threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings on two hits, no walks and three strikeouts. Edwin Nuñez surrendered one run but received the win. Brailyn Paulino tossed a scoreless seventh to earn his first save.
The Cardinals went up 2-0 in the top of the second inning. Yoerny Junco singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Yancel Guerrero reached on a fielder’s choice. Romtres Cabrera doubled to score Junco. Hancel Almonte plated Guerrero on a single.
The Astros tied the game in the home second and added a run in the third to lead 3-2.
The Cardinals scored a run in the top of the sixth to tie the score at 3-3. Facundo Velasquez singled and advanced to second on a balk. Guerrero drove in Velasquez on a single.
The Astros regained the lead at 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth. The Cardinals answered in the seventh on a two-run home run by Johnfrank Salazar to win the game 5-4.
The Cardinals scored five runs on seven hits. No Cardinal had multiple hits. Salazar had two RBI.
On the bases, Almonte stole his third base of the season. Guerrero swiped two bags. Velasquez stole his 11th base.
On defense, Guerrero made a throwing error.
FCL Cardinals 3, FCL Astros 9 (seven innings, game two)
The Cardinals fell to the Astros in the second game of the twin bill on Tuesday. Starter Andrew Bolivar pitched three innings, gave up three runs on four hits, struck out two and walked two.
Bernard Mack relieved Bolivar and surrendered six runs, five earned in 1 2/3 innings and took the loss. Juan Severino tossed the final 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
The Cardinals went up 3-0 in the first inning. Facundo Velazquez singled. Bracewell Taveras was hit by a pitch. Paulo Asprilla reached on a fielder’s choice and Velazquez scored. Taveras and Asprilla came home on a throwing error on a fielder’s choice from Daniel Rojas.
The Astros put up a six-run fourth inning and added three runs in the fifth to widen the lead to 9-3.
The Cardinals scored three runs on four hits. Taveras was 2-for-3.
On the bases, Rojas stole his 11th base of the season. On defense, Hancel Almonte had a missed catch error. Asprilla had a passed ball.
The Cardinals are 20-29 on the season and are in fourth place in the Florida Complex League East, 13.5 games back of the FCL Astros.

DSL Cardinals 6, DSL Rockies 5
The Dominican Cardinals beat the Rockies in a 6-5 walkoff on Tuesday.
Starter Gabriel Chinchilla pitched four innings, gave up one run on five hits and struck out two.
Branneli Franco relieved Chinchilla and threw two scoreless innings. Reiner Lopez surrendered one run in two innings. Jarol Baez yielded three runs in 2/3 of an inning. Briam Reyes secured the final out of the ninth and received the win.
The Rockies scored one run in the top of the first. The Cardinals answered in the home first with a solo home run by Miguel Hernandez.
The Cardinals had another a solo home run in the fourth, this one by Brayan Amoroso, to lead 2-1. The Rockies tied the game in the top of the seventh.
The Cardinals broke the tie in the home seventh to lead 3-2. Sebastian Dos Santos was hit by a pitch and stole second base. Kenly Hunter and Royelny Strop walked to load the bases. Dos Santos scored on a sac fly by Hernandez.
In the top of the ninth, the Rockies put up three runs to go ahead 5-3.
The Cardinals responded with three runs in the bottom of the ninth to win in a walk off. Juan Pablo Cabrera singled. Dos Santos followed with a two-run home run. Hunter singled and stole second base. Hernandez plated Hunter on a single.
The Cardinals scored six runs on nine hits. Hernandez was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Hunter was 2-for-3. Dos Santos had three RBI and two runs scored.
On the bases, Cabrera stole his second base of the season. Dos Santos swiped his sixth bag. Hunter stole his 12th base.
On defense, Dos Santos made a throwing error.
The DSL Cardinals are 17-15 on the season and are tied for first place in the DSL Southeast Division with the Marlins.
