The St. Louis Cardinals system was 0-2 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, C Hector Cabrera, drove in two runs in the DSL Cardinals loss. Other standouts include Earle Zulueta, Jhon Franganten, Jesús Pérez and Paulo Asprilla.

FCL Cardinals 2 at FCL Marlins 4 (seven innings)
The rookie Florida Complex League Cardinals fell to the Marlins by a 4-2 score on Tuesday. Starter Earle Zulueta pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings, allowed two hits, walked four and struck out three.
Andrew Bolívar relieved Zulueta and surrendered three runs in 1 1/3 innings and took the loss. Alejandro Lóaiza yielded one insurance run in the sixth.
The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Yeferson Portolatin walked and later scored on a double play by Kenly Hunter.
The Cardinals added a run in the top of the fifth to increase the lead to 2-0. Paulo Asprilla doubled and scored on a single by Miguel Hernández.
The Marlins answered with three runs in the home fifth to take the lead 3-2. They made it 4-2 in the sixth.
For the day, the Cardinals scored two runs on five hits. Asprilla was 2-for-3.
Hernandez stole his 10th base of the season.
Zulueta made an error on a pickoff attempt but picked a runner off first base. Daniel Rojas had a fielding miscue.
The Cardinals are 18-28 on the season and are in last place in the FCL East. They have been eliminated from the postseason.
Wednesday’s game: Off
DSL Cardinals 4, DSL Rangers Blue 15
The rookie academy Cardinals suffered a 15-4 clobbering by the Rangers Blue on Tuesday.
Starter Juan García pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up four runs, two earned, on five hits and fanned four. García took the loss.
Jordan Beltrán relieved García and surrendered four runs in the three innings. Andey Garrido yielded two runs in 1/3 of an inning. Javier Martínez allowed three runs while collecting just one out. Brayan Amoroso relinquished two runs in 1 2/3 innings.
The Rangers Blue went up 2-0 in the first inning.
The Cardinals tied the game in the second. Michael Cordero singled. Christopher Vargas doubled. Cordero scored on a ground out by Misael Sánchez. Lucas Takahashi walked. Hector Cabrera grounded into a force out and Vargas scored.
The Rangers Blue retook the lead with two runs in the fourth and added one in the top of the sixth to increase their lead to 5-2.
The Cardinals put up two runs in the home sixth to cut the lead to 5-4. Vargas reached on an error. Takahashi walked. Vargas came home on an error. Cabrera plated Takahashi on a single.
The Rangers Blue ran up the score with a five-run seventh to lead 10-4. They extended the lead to 13-4 in the eighth and then 15-4 in the ninth.
The Cardinals scored four runs on 10 hits. Jesús Pérez was 3-for-5. Jhon Franganten was 2-for-5. Cabrera had two RBI. Vargas scored two runs.
García, Vargas, and Roberth Castillo each made a throwing error. Takahashi had a fielding miscue.
The Cardinals are 14-16 on the season and are in fourth place in the DSL Southeast.
