The St. Louis Cardinals system was 4-0 on Friday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day Trent Baker pitched six no-hit scoreless innings with six punchouts in Peoria’s win. Other standouts include Masyn Winn, Tres Barrera and Victor Scott II.

The Memphis Redbirds defeated the Stripers by a five-run margin on Friday at AutoZone Park. Plucked from the pen to join the rotation, lefty Andrew Suarez pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up three runs on six hits, struck out four and walked one.
Grant Black relieved Suarez and surrendered two runs in 2 1/3 innings to earn his first win. Kodi Whitley threw two scoreless innings. Dalton Roach tossed a scoreless ninth.
Gwinnett scored first with two runs in the top of the first inning. Memphis answered with eight runs in the home half of the first.
Masyn Winn walked, stole second base, and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Richie Palacios walked. Tyler O’Neill singled, and Winn came home. Matt Koperniak singled. Palacios scored on a sac fly by Moises Gomez. O’Neill crossed home on a double by Taylor Motter. Koperniak ran home on a wild pitch. Tres Barrera plated Motter on a single. Juniel Querecuto singled. As the Redbirds batted around, Winn’s three-run home run made it 8-2.

The Stripers added a run in the fourth and two runs in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 8-5.
The Redbirds made it 9-5 in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Barrera. Koperniak hit a solo home run in the seventh for the final score of 10-5.
Barrera was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Motter was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Koperniak was 2-for-4 with an RBI. O’Neill was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Querecuto was 2-for-4. Winn had three RBI and two runs scored.
On the base paths, Winn stole his 16th base of the season. Motter swiped his eighth bag. Palacios was caught stealing.
The Memphis Redbirds (44-44) are four games out of first place in the International League West.
Saturday’s game: vs. Gwinnett, RH Gordon Graceffo (2-2, 3.53) vs. Allan Winans RHP (7-3, 2.70) 6:35 CT.
The Springfield Cardinals edged the Wind Surge in a one run road victory on Friday. Starter Connor Lunn pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up three runs on six hits, and struck out seven.
Ryan Shreve relieved Lunn and threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his second win. Andre Granillo tossed a scoreless ninth.
Wichita took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. The Wind Surge added single runs in the fifth and sixth to lead 3-0.
Springfield surged in the seventh to take a 4-3 lead. Noah Mendlinger singled and Mike Antico doubled. Mendlinger scored on a single by Jacob Buchberger. With Wade Stauss at the plate, Buchberger and Antico completed a double steal with Antico racing home. Arquimedes Gamboa drew a walk. Victor Scott II singled to plate Buchberger. Gamboa came home on a single by Chandler Redmond.
Scott II was 2-for-5 with an RBI and was the only Cardinal with multiple hits.
On the base paths, Buchberger stole his 10th base and Antico stole his 27th base. Scott II was caught stealing.
In the field, Buchberger made a fielding error.
In the Texas League North, the Springfield Cardinals (40-42) are in second place, two games out of first place.
Saturday’s game: at Wichita, RHP Tink Hence (0-0, 1.80) vs. RHP Pierson Ohl (1-2, 4.73) 6:05 CT.
Peoria 3, Wisconsin 2 (10 innings)
The Peoria Chiefs topped the Timber Rattlers in 10 innings at Dozer Park on Friday. Starter Trent Baker pitched six scoreless, no-hit innings with six strikeouts and three walks.

Joseph King surrendered one run in two innings of relief. Edwin Nunez allowed one unearned run in the final two innings to earn his first High-A win.
Peoria went up 1-0 in the second inning. Ramon Mendoza doubled and scored on a double by Osvaldo Tovalin.
The game remained 1-0 until the eighth inning when Wisconsin tied it as the solo home run broke up the Chiefs’ no-hit bid. In the top of the 10th, the Timber Rattlers took the lead, 2-1.
In the home half of the 10th, Peoria scored two runs to walk it off 3-2. With Jeremy Rivas on second base, Alex ladisernia singled to plate Rivas. Iadisernia advanced to third on a wild pitch. Nathan Church walked and stole second base. R.J. Yeager was intentionally walked. With the bases loaded, Jimmy Crooks was hit by a pitch and ladisernia scored.
ladisernia was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Mendoza was 2-for-3. Rivas and Darlin Moquete were each 2-for-4.
On the base paths, Church stole his 15th base of the season. ladisernia was caught stealing.
Chiefs pitching held the visitors to just two hits and four walks while striking out 11.
The Peoria Chiefs (44-38) sit in first place in the Midwest League West by one game.
Saturday’s game: vs. Wisconsin, Zane Mills RHP (4-2, 6.49) vs. Jacob Misiorowski RHP (1-0, 1.83) 6:35 CT.
Palm Beach vs. Daytona (postponed)
Friday’s game was postponed due to inclement weather at Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. It will be played on July 15 as part of a doubleheader that begins at 3:00 CT.
The Palm Beach Cardinals (3-12) are in last place in the Florida State League East, five games out of first place.
Saturday’s games: vs. Daytona, TBA vs. TBA 3:00 CT (Game 1), TBA vs. TBA (Game 2).
FCL Cardinals at FCL Mets (suspended)
This game was suspended due to rain in the top of the seventh with the score tied 3-3. It will be resumed on Saturday, July 22 prior to the regularly scheduled contest.
In the Florida Complex League East, the Cardinals (9-16) are in last place, 6.5 games back of first place.

DSL Cardinals 5, DSL Phillies Red 4 (10 innings)
The Cardinals edged the Phillies Red in a 5-4 extra inning contest on Friday. Starter Nelfy Ynfante pitched four innings, gave up two runs on six hits, struck out three and walked one.
Keiverson Ramirez surrendered two runs in four innings of relief. Emisael Carrera tossed the final two scoreless innings to earn his second win.
The Phillies Red took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Cardinals answered with one run in the second. Hancel Almonte was hit by a pitch and later scored on a single by Paulo Asprilla. The Cardinals then tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning when Elias Reynoso doubled and later came home on a single by Almonte.
The Cardinals took a 4-2 lead in the fourth. Andru Arthur doubled and scored on a double by Marcelo Perez. Asprilla walked and crossed the plate on a single by Arfeni Batista.
The Phillies Red tied the game at 4-4 in the sixth and the score remained through regulation. In the bottom of the 10th the Cardinals walked it off on an RBI single by Daniel Rojas.
Batista was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Fernando Roquez was 2-for-5.
In the field, Arthur made a fielding error but also had an outfield assist at third base. Ynfante picked a runner off first base.
In the Dominican Summer League South, the Cardinals (10-18) are in seventh place, 11.5 games back of first place.
Saturday’s game: at DSL Phillies White, TBA vs. TBA 10:00 am CT.
