The St. Louis Cardinals system was 3-3 on Friday. TCN’s Players of the Day are the Palm Beach offense. Pounding Daytona for 19 runs, they were led by Alex Birge with five RBI, Chase Davis with four RBI and three runs scored, Matthew Miura and Yordalin Peña. Other standouts: Leo Bernal, Jurrangelo Cijntje, Tanner Franklin and Luis Pino.

The Triple-A Redbirds were walked off for the second consecutive night by the Stripers.
Starter Mason Molina pitched four innings, gave up three runs on five hits, walked two and fanned six.
The newest Redbird, Durbin Feltman, relieved Molina and surrendered one run in the fifth. Hancel Rincon threw three scoreless innings. Cade Winquest yielded two runs in just 1/3 of an inning and took the loss.
Memphis went ahead 3-0 in the first inning. Victor Scott and Nolan Gorman walked. Leo Bernal hit a three-run home run.

Gwinnett tied the game in the third and took a 4-3 lead in the fifth.
The Redbirds tied the game 4-4 in the sixth on a solo home run by Yohel Pozo. They gained the lead 5-4 in the top of the ninth. Pozo doubled. Matt Koperniak pinch ran for Pozo. Ramon Mendoza plated Koperniak on a single.
The Stripers rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth to win in a walk off 6-5.
The Redbirds scored five runs on eight hits. Pozo was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Noah Mendlinger was 2-for-4. Bernal had three RBI.
Memphis is 7-9 in the second half.
Saturday’s game: at Gwinnett, LHP Brycen Mautz (0-3, 2.74) vs. AJ Smith-Shawver RHP (0-0, 0.00) 5:05 CT.
The Double-A Cardinals fell to the Drillers by a 7-5 score on Friday.

The pen blew a three-run lead in the seventh. Hunter Hayes relieved Cijntje and surrendered two runs in 1/3 of an inning. Andrew Schultz yielded two runs, one earned, in 2/3 of an inning and took the loss. Edwin Nuñez relinquished one run in the eighth.
The Cardinals went up 1-0 in the top of the second inning. Won-Bin Cho walked. Miguel Ugueto reached on an error. Cho scored on a sac fly by Brody Moore.
The Drillers tied the game in the home second.
Springfield put up two runs in the top of the third to take the lead 3-1. Jesús Báez walked. Ryan Campos hit a ground-rule double. Deniel Ortiz plated Báez and Campos on a single.

Tulsa cut the lead to 3-2 in the home third.
The Cardinals answered with two runs in the fourth to extend the lead to 5-2. Moore singled and stole second base. Tre Richardson walked. Travis Honeyman grounded into a double play. Rainiel Rodriguez followed with a two-run home run.

The Drillers put up four runs in the seventh and one run in the eighth to take the lead and the game 7-5.
The Cardinals scored five runs on five hits. Rodriguez and Ortiz each had two RBI.
Moore stole two bases.
Schultz made a throwing error.
Springfield is 10-6 in the second half.

In Davenport, the High-A Chiefs beat the River Bandits by the score of 6-3 on Friday.
Starter Tanner Franklin pitched five innings, gave up one run on six hits and fanned nine to earn his third win.
Gerardo Salas relieved Franklin and threw two scoreless innings. Jason Savacool surrendered two runs in the eighth. Jose Davila tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his first save.
Quad Cities took a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
Peoria put up three runs in the fifth to take the lead 3-1. Cameron Nickens doubled and scored on a double by Luis Pino. José Suárez tripled to plate Pino Suárez scored on a single by Michael Dattalo.

The Chiefs added a run in the sixth to increase the lead to 4-1. Christian Martin doubled and later scored on a sac fly by Nickens.
In the top of the eighth, Peoria scored two runs to lead 6-1. Josh Kross thumped a solo home run. Martin walked and later scored on a single by Pino.
The River Bandits added two runs in the bottom of the eighth to bring the final score to 6-3.
The offense scored six runs on 11 hits. Pino was 3-for-4 with two RBI. Dattalo was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Martin scored two runs.
Martin stole his sixth base. Sammy Hernandez picked a runner off third base. Franklin picked a runner off first base.
The Chiefs are 7-11 in the second half.

The Low-A Cardinals routed the Tortugas in a 19-8 score in Daytona on Friday.
Memphis rehab starter Sem Robberse pitched 2 1/3 innings, gave up two runs on three hits and struck out two.
Antoni Cuello relieved Robberse and surrendered four runs in 2/3 of an inning. Andrew Dutkanych yielded two runs in 3 2/3 innings and received the win. Jesús García tossed the final 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
The Cardinals went up 3-0 in the second inning. Brayden Smith walked. Yordalin Peña reached on a fielder’s choice. Jonathan Mejía walked. Alex Birge singled to plate Smith and Peña. Mejía scored on a double play by Trevor Haskins.
Palm Beach added 10 runs in the top of the third to lead 13-0. Matthew Miura doubled. Springfield rehabber Chase Davis walked. Ryan Weingartner singled to score Miura. Davis came home on a throwing error. Mejía walked. Birge doubled to drive in Weingartner and Mejía. Haskins walked. Johnfrank Salazar singled to score Birge and Haskins. Miura reached on an error. Davis hit a three-run home run. Weingartner, Smith, and Peña walked. Weingartner came home on a wild pitch.
Daytona answered with six runs in the home third to cut the lead to 13-6.
The Beach Birds extended their lead to 15-6 with a two-run fourth. Haskins singled. Salazar reached on an error. Miura walked. Davis walked and Haskins scored. Salazar came home on a double play by Weingartner.
The Cardinals added a run in the fifth to increase the lead to 16-6. Mejía reached on an error and scored on a double by Birge. In the top of the sixth, Palm Beach made it 17-6. Peña doubled and scored on a single by Mejía.
The Tortugas added two runs in the home sixth to shrink the lead to 17-8.
Palm Beach put up two final runs in the ninth for the final tally of 19-8. Miura hit a solo home run. Chase Davis singled and later scored on a double by Peña.
The Cardinals scored 19 runs on 14 hits. Birge was 3-for-6 with five RBI. Davis was 2-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Miura was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored. Peña was 2-for-6 with an RBI and two runs scored. Weingartner, Haskins, and Salazar each scored two runs.
Birge made a throwing error and had a passed ball.
The Cardinals are 11-8 in the second half.

FCL Cardinals 8, FCL Nationals 4 (seven innings)
The rookie Cardinals beat the Nationals on Friday in the completion of a previously suspended game. Starter Keiverson Ramírez pitched two innings, gave up three runs on two hits and struck out two.
Ixan Henderson, opening his rehab assignment from Memphis, surrendered one run in 2/3 of an inning of relief. Brailyn Paulino collected the final out of the third. Jefferson Moran hurled 1 2/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Andrew Bolívar tossed the final 2 1/3 scoreless innings for his second save.
The Nationals went up 3-0 in the top of the first inning.
The Cardinals answered with four runs in the home half of the first to take the lead. Miguel Hernández doubled. Cristofer Lebrón singled. Kenly Hunter walked. Royelny Strop singled to score Hernández. J.P. Cabrera plated Lebrón and Hunter on a single. Cabrera was thrown out at second. Strop scored on a single by Bracewell Taveras.
The Cardinals added two runs in the second to increase the lead to 6-3. Lebrón singled and stole second base. Hunter reached on an error and Lebrón scored. Strop reached on an error and Hunter came home.
The Nationals cut the lead to 6-4 in the top of the third.
The Cardinals responded with a run in the bottom of the third to extend the lead to 7-4. Taveras and Paulo Asprilla singled. Taveras scored on a wild pitch.
The Cardinals tacked on an eighth run in the fifth. Taveras doubled and scored on a triple by Facundo Velásquez.
The Cardinals scored eight runs on 10 hits. Taveras was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. Lebrón was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Cabrera had two RBI. Hunter scored two runs.
Lebrón stole his 15th base.
Daniel Rojas made a fielding error. Hunter had an outfield assist at home plate.
The Cardinals are 16-27 on the season and are in last place in the FCL East. They have been eliminated from the postseason.

DSL Cardinals 1, DSL Marlins 6 (seven innings)
The Dominican Cardinals lost to the Marlins by a 6-1 score on Friday.
Starter Emilio Jiménez pitched three innings, gave up two runs on two hits, walked two and struck out two. Jiménez took the loss.
Jhon Cabrera relieved Jiménez and surrendered two runs in 2 1/3 innings. Kriscol Peralta yielded two runs in the final 1 2/3 innings.
The Marlins took a 2-0 lead in the second inning and added four runs in the top of the sixth to lead 6-0.
The Cardinals answered with one run in the home sixth. Christian Sáez walked and scored on a triple by Michael Cordero.
The Cardinals scored one run on two hits. The offense was 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.
Jesús Pérez was caught stealing.
The Cardinals are 14-13 on the season and are in third place in the DSL Southeast.
