The St. Louis Cardinals system was 3-2 on Friday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Darlin Saladin, pitched six scoreless innings, on only two hits with seven strikeouts in the FCL win. Other standouts include Max Rajcic, Dakota Harris, Fernando Diaz and L.J. Jones.

The Memphis Redbirds suffered a four-run loss to the Jumbo Shrimp on Friday at AutoZone Park. In his Cardinals system debut, starter Adam Kloffenstein pitched five innings, gave up one run on six hits, struck out six and walked three.
Dalton Roach surrendered three runs in three innings of relief. Roach took the loss. Ryan Loutos relinquished two insurance runs in the ninth.
Jacksonville took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Memphis tied the game in the fifth. Kramer Robertson drew a walk, advanced to second on a bunt and stole third base. He scored on a ground out by Cesar Prieto.
In the top of the eighth, the Jumbo Shrimp added three runs to go ahead 4-1. The Redbirds cut the lead to 4-2 in the home half of the eighth on a solo home run by Luken Baker, his league-leading 28th of the year.

Jacksonville added two runs in the ninth for the final score of 6-2.
Baker was 2-for-4 with an RBI and was the only Redbird with multiple hits. The offense was 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base.
On the base paths, Robertson stole his 19th base of the season. Moises Gomez and Richie Palacios made a fielding error.
The Memphis Redbirds (54-52) are 4.5 games out of first place in the International League West.

The Springfield Cardinals lost to the Naturals in a 13-9 slugfest at Hammons Field on Friday. Starter Tink Hence pitched 4 1/3 innings, gave up four runs on five hits, struck out six and walked two.
Nick Trogrlic-Iverson surrendered two runs in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Jose Martinez relinquished one run in the eighth. Roy Garcia struggled, yielding six runs, five earned, while only collecting one out. Logan Sawyer secured the final two outs in the ninth. Garcia took the blown save and the loss.
Springfield scored first in the second inning on a solo home run by Arquimedes Gamboa. The Cardinals added to their lead with two runs in the third. Jose Alvarez walked. Victor Scott II singled. Alvarez and Scott II executed a double steal. Jacob Buchberger plated Alvarez on a single. Pedro Page singled to score Scott II.
The Naturals add two runs in the both the fourth and fifth and two more in the seventh to lead 6-3. In the home seventh, Springfield cut the lead to 6-4. L.J. Jones doubled and later came home on a sac fly by Scott II.
In the top of the eighth, the Naturals scored one run to widen the lead to 7-4. The Cardinals put up four runs in the bottom of the eighth to take an 8-7 lead. Mike Antico walked. Thomas Saggese grounded into a force out and Antico was out at second. Buchberger walked. Pages singled. Saggese came home on a force out by Gamboa. Jones hit a three-run home run.

NW Arkansas went up 13-8 in the top of the ninth with six runs. Springfield added a final run in the bottom of the ninth on a solo home run by Antico, but the rally ended there.
Jones was 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Pages was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Gamboa drove in a pair.
On the base paths, Alvarez and Scott II each stole a base. Errol Robinson was picked off first base.
Trogrlic-Iverson and Robinson made throwing errors. Pages committed two errors, one fielding and one throwing.
In the Texas League North, the Springfield Cardinals (17-14) are in first place.
Saturday’s game: vs. NW Arkansas, LHP Alex Cornwell (0-0, 3.05) vs. Andrew Hoffmann RHP (3-6, 5.98) 6:35 CT.
The Chiefs blanked the River Bandits in a 1-0 win at Dozer Park on Friday. It was Peoria’s sixth consecutive victory.
Starter Max Rajcic pitched six scoreless innings, allowed eight hits, struck out four and walked one to earn his first High-A win.
The game was scoreless for the first five innings. In the sixth, Peoria scored the only run of the game when Brody Moore singled and came home on a double by Nathan Church.

The Chiefs had one run on four hits. No player had multiple hits. The offense was 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position and left three men on base.
Chris Rotondo stole his second base of the season.
The Peoria Chiefs (19-15) are in second place in the Midwest League West, 2.5 games back of first.

The Palm Beach Cardinals blew past the Hammerheads in an eight-run victory on Friday. Starter Jose Davila pitched five innings, gave up one run on four hits, struck out four and walked two to earn his first Low-A win.
Augusto Calderon relieved Davila and threw three scoreless innings. Angel Cuenca tossed a scoreless ninth.
The Beach Birds took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run home run by Brayden Jobert, his first as a pro. Palm Beach added four runs in the fourth to increase the lead to 6-0. Leonardo Bernal walked. Dakota Harris singled. Jobert walked. Trey Paige walked, and Bernal scored. Lizandro Espinoza cleared the bases on a double.
Jupiter scored their only run in the fifth. The Cardinals added three runs in the eighth. Zach Levenson hit a solo home run, his second. Kade Kretzschmar singled. Bernal walked. Kretzschmar and Bernal came home on a double by Harris.
Harris was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored as the only Cardinal with multiple hits. Espinoza had three RBI. Jobert drove in two.
Jobert committed a fielding error. Bernal had a passed ball.
The Palm Beach Cardinals (15-17) are in first place in the Florida State League East.

The Florida Complex League Cardinals defeated the Astros in a 7-1 contest on Friday. Starter Darlin Saladin pitched six scoreless innings, allowed two hits, struck out seven and walked two to earn his second win of the season.
In his professional debut, Hunter Kublick relieved Saladin and threw 2/3 of a scoreless inning with a walk. Antoni Cuello secured the final out of the seventh. Alexander Beltre surrendered one run in the eighth. Diorys Guerrero tossed a scoreless ninth.
The Cardinals went up 3-0 in the third. Jonathan Mejia drew a walk. Adari Grant was hit by a pitch. Jose Cordoba doubled to bring in Mejia and Grant. Cordoba stole third base and came home on a ground out by Sammy Hernandez.
The Cardinals increased the lead to 4-0 in the fourth. Jose Suarez singled and scored on a double by Anyelo Encarnacion. The lead increased to 7-0 in the fifth on a two-run home run by Fernando Diaz and a solo home run by Suarez.
The Astros scored their only run in the eighth for the final score of 7-1.
Diaz was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Suarez was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Encarnacion was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Cordoba had two RBI.
On the base paths, Cordoba stole his third base. Encarnacion swiped his sixth bag.
Yancel Guerrero had a fielding error. Suarez had an outfield assist at home plate.
In the Florida Complex League East, the Cardinals (16-23) are in last place, 8.5 games back of first.
