The St. Louis Cardinals system was 3-3 on Tuesday. TCN’s Player of the Day, OF Matthew Miura, was 3-for-3 plus three walks, three RBI, two steals and two runs scored in Game 1 of Palm Beach’s doubleheader. Other standouts: Noah Mendlinger, Cooper Hjerpe, Jesús Báez, Ty Van Dyke, Jayden Lobliner, Gabe Camacho, Eduardo Mirabal and Sebastian Rojas.

Opening their road series, the Triple-A Redbirds dealt the Bulls a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday.
Starter Cooper Hjerpe pitched four scoreless innings, allowed one hit, walked two and fanned five.
Jared Shuster, Matt Svanson, Austin Love and Skylar Hales (fresh off the injured list) combined for five scoreless frames.
Memphis went up 3-0 in the fifth inning. Joshua Báez singled, advanced to second on a ground out by Leo Bernal and stole third. Colton Ledbetter walked. Ramon Mendoza singled to score Báez. Mendoza stole second. Noah Mendlinger plated Mendoza and Ledbetter on a ground-rule double.

The Redbirds added two runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 5-0. Nolan Gorman singled. Bernal doubled. Thomas Saggese doubled to plate Gorman and Bernal.

In the ninth, a solo home run by Ledbetter made the final score 6-0.
The offense scored six runs on 11 hits. Mendlinger was 3-for-4 with two RBI. Báez was 2-for-5. Saggese had two RBI.
Báez stole two bases and was caught stealing. Mendoza swiped his second bag.
Memphis is 17-23 in the second half.
Wednesday’s game: at Durham, Quinn Mathews LHP (5-4, 3.32) vs. TBD (DUR) 5:45 CT.
At Route 66 Stadium, the Cardinals, playing as the Ozarks Snipe Hunters, were routed by the Naturals 15-8 on Tuesday.
Starter Blake Aita pitched four innings, gave up 11 runs, nine earned, on 11 hits, walked three and struck out three. Aita took the loss.
Jack Findlay relieved Aita and threw two scoreless innings. Michael Watson relinquished two runs in the seventh. Nolan Sparks hurled a scoreless eighth. Dalin Saladin gave up two runs in the ninth.
NW Arkansas went up 4-0 in the top of the first inning.
In the home first, Springfield cut the lead in half. Rainiel Rodriguez singled. Jesús Báez followed with a two-run home run.

The Naturals added three runs in the third and two in the top of the fourth to increase the lead to 9-2.
The Cardinals put up five runs in the bottom of the inning to shrink the gap to 9-7. Deniel Ortiz singled. Won-Bin Cho and Ryan Campos walked. Dakota Harris doubled to plate Ortiz and Cho. Tai Peete doubled to score Campos and Harris. Peete came home on a sac fly by Rodriguez.

NW Arkansas scored two runs in each of the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.
In the home ninth, Jack Gurevitch’s solo home run brought the final score to 15-8.
The Cardinals scored eight runs on eight hits. Báez was 2-for-5 with two RBI. Peete and Harris each had two RBI.
Báez was caught stealing.
Josiah Ragsdale and Harris each made a fielding error. Ortiz had a throwing error.
Springfield is 24-16 in the second half.

Peoria 6, Beloit 7 (10 innings)
The High-A Chiefs were edged by the Sky Carp 7-6 in 10 innings on Tuesday.
Starter Ty Van Dyke pitched five innings, gave up two runs on six hits, walked two and fanned five.
Zeke Wood relieved Van Dyke and threw a scoreless sixth. Nate Dohm surrendered one run in three innings. Patrick Galle relinquished four runs, three earned in the 10th and took the loss.
Beloit took the lead with single runs in the first and second.
Peoria put up three runs in the second to take a 3-2 lead. Ian Petrutz walked. Cade McGee singled. Petrutz advanced to third on a fly out and scored on a sac fly by Andrew Williamson. Brayden Smith hit a two-run home run, his first long ball with the Chiefs.

The Sky Carp tied the game in the seventh. In the top of the 10th, Beloit put up four runs to go ahead 7-3.
The Chiefs rallied for three runs in the home half, falling just short. Tristan Bissetta was the tiebreaker runner. Petrutz walked. McGee doubled to score Bissetta. Petrutz came home on a wild pitch. Dattalo walked. McGee also scored on a wild pitch.
The Chiefs scored six runs on five hits. McGee was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Smith had two RBI. Petrutz scored two runs.
Sammy Hernandez stole his 17th base.
The Chiefs are 21-21 in the second half.

Palm Beach 9 at Daytona 7 (game one)
The Cardinals defeated the Tortugas in the first game of a road twin bill. The original game on July 12 was stopped in the top of the fourth due to lightning and rescheduled to Tuesday. Daytona was up, 2-0.
Starter Cade Crossland (who is now with Peoria) pitched two innings, gave up two runs, one earned, on two hits, walked two and struck out three.
Nathan Shinn relieved Crossland and threw a scoreless third. In his Palm Beach debut, Branneli Franco surrendered three runs in three innings pitched. JR Fordham yielded two runs in the seventh. Jesús García tossed the final two scoreless innings to earn the win.
The Cardinals put up four runs in the top of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead. Matthew Miura walked and advanced to second on a balk. Miguel Hernández walked. Cristofer Lebrón singled to score Miura. J.P. Cabrera reached on a fielder’s choice. Hernández and Lebrón came home on a throwing error. Sebastian Dos Santos drove in Cabrera on a single.
The Tortugas answered with a run in the home fourth to cut the lead to 4-3.
Palm Beach added two runs in the fifth to increase the lead to 6-3. Ryan Mitchell hit a solo home run. Miura doubled and scored on a double by Hernández.
Daytona plated three runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to retake the lead at 7-6.
The Cardinals rallied for three runs in the ninth to win the game 9-7. Cabrera and Dos Santos walked. Yairo Padilla singled to score Cabrera. Mitchell walked. Miura plated Dos Santos and Padilla on a single.
The Cardinals scored nine runs on 10 hits. Miura was 3-for-3 plus three walks with two RBI and two runs scored. Padilla was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Dos Santos was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Cabrera scored two runs.
Dos Santos stole his 10th base. Miura swiped two bags. Yordalin Peña stole his 18th base. Hernández stole his first base.
Trevor Haskins made a throwing error.
Palm Beach 6 at Daytona 7 (seven innings, game two)
The Cardinals were edged by the Tortugas in the second game of the twin bill.
Starter Brian Holiday pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up five runs on nine hits and fanned six.
Yadiel Batista relieved Holiday and surrendered one run in 1 1/3 innings. Just off the IL, Kaden Echeman hurled a scoreless sixth. Brian Garmon gave up the deciding run in the seventh and took the loss.
Palm Beach struck in the second inning on a two-run home run by Jayden Lobliner, his first as a professional.
In the home second, Daytona cut the lead to 2-1. The Tortugas added one in the third and four in the fourth to take the lead at 6-2.
The Cardinals scored one run in the fifth. Dee Kennedy singled and scored on a double by Sebastian Dos Santos.
The Beach Birds made it 6-4 in the sixth. Alexander Frias doubled and came home on a double by Gabe Camacho.
The Cardinals tied the game in the top of the seventh. Owen Henne hit a ground-rule double and advanced to third on a balk. Dos Santos was hit by a pitch. Matthew Miura walked. Camacho singled to score Henne. Dos Santos came home on a walk by Lobliner.
The Tortugas rallied for a run in the home seventh to win in a walk off.
The Cardinals scored six runs on 12 hits. Lobliner was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Camacho was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Frias was 2-for-3. Henne and Trevor Haskins were both 2-for-4.
Cristofer Lebrón made a throwing error. Frias had a fielding miscue. Garmon made an error on a pickoff attempt. Lobliner had a passed ball.
The Cardinals are 22-21 in the second half.

DSL Cardinals 6 at DSL Rockies 2 (seven innings)
The Dominican Cardinals defeated the Rockies by the score of 6-2 on Tuesday.
Starter Jose Vega pitched four innings, gave up two runs on four hits and struck out two.
Rafaeli Moronta relieved Vega and threw three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. He allowed one hit, walked two and struck out four.
The Rockies took a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
The Cardinals put up four runs in the fifth to take the lead. Lucas Takahashi walked. Roberth Castillo singled. Michael Cordero grounded into a force out, eliminating Takahashi. Eduardo Mirabal blasted a three-run home run. Diego Conseción doubled and scored on a double by Sebastian Rojas.
The Cardinals added two runs in the seventh for the final 6-2 margin. Mirabal singled. Conseción plated Mirabal on a triple. Rojas reached on an error and Conseción scored.
The Cardinals scored six runs on nine hits. Mirabal was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Rojas was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Conseción was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
The Cardinals are 25-23 on the season and are in fourth place in the DSL Southeast.
