The Scottsdale Scorpions defeated the Glendale Desert Dogs on Thursday night. Victor Scott, Jeremy Rivas and Edwin Nunez all played for the Scorpions. Scott singled and stole a base, Rivas doubled and Nunez recorded the save. The Scorpions are undefeated after four games.

The Scottsdale Scorpions (3-0) edged the Glendale Desert Dogs (1-3) at Camelback Ranch on Thursday. Scottsdale is undefeated through four games including a tie in their opener.
As the leadoff batter, center fielder Victor Scott was 1-for-3 with a single, a walk and a run scored. TCN’s no. 11 prospect led off the game with a single and came across to score in the sixth inning after he walked and stole second base. He was also caught stealing.
Jeremy Rivas hit seventh in Thursday’s game and had a double in the fifth inning. The shortstop prospect has a .455 average and 1.045 OPS through four games in the AFL.
To close out the win, Edwin Nunez tossed the ninth inning. TCN’s no. 25 prospect had a 1-2-3 outing with one strikeout to earn his first AFL save.
The Scorpions went 2-for-4 with runners in scoring position in their third win of the season. Scott and Rivas both scored in the one-run game.
