The Desert Dogs fell to the Solar Sox by a 9-5 score on Wednesday. One Cardinal participated in the game. Thomas Saggese hit second in the starting lineup and was the second baseman.
Saggese went 1-for-4 with three strikeouts.
In his first at bat in the first inning, Saggese struck out swinging. He struck out swinging again in the third.
Saggese singled in the fifth inning for his only hit. It was an infield single to the shortstop. He was stranded. He struck out swinging for the third time in the seventh inning.
No other Cardinal saw action.
Glendale is 8-5 in the AFL season.
