The Scottsdale Scorpions fell to the Glendale Desert Dogs in AFL action on Monday night. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day Jeremy Rivas singled. No other Cardinals appeared. Scottsdale is in first place with a half game lead over Surprise.

The Scottsdale Scorpions (11-7) were defeated by the Glendale Desert Dogs (9-10) at Scottsdale Stadium on Monday night. Only one Cardinals prospect appeared.
Jeremy Rivas started at shortstop for the Scorpions and hit eighth. TCN’s no. 47 prospect singled but was retired on a force out in the seventh inning. He also grounded out, flied out and struck out. Rivas is slashing .296/.333/.370/.703 in 54 at-bats.
Scorpions pitching struck out 16 but gave up three home runs. Scottsdale’s offense recorded two doubles and six singles. They went 4-for-8 with runners in scoring position but left seven runners on base.
