The Glendale Desert Dogs defeated the Peoria Javelinas on Tuesday. Two Cardinals were in the starting lineup. Second baseman Thomas Saggese had two hits, drove in one and scored. Leonardo Bernal was the catcher and had a hit.

The Desert Dogs beat the Peoria Javelinas on Tuesday by the score of 8-1. Two Cardinals participated. Second baseman Thomas Saggese batted third. Leonardo Bernal was the catcher and hit eighth.
Thomas Saggese went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Saggese hit an infield single in the first inning and scored on a single by Zyhir Hope of the Dodgers. In the second, Saggese flied out to left field.
In the fifth, Saggese hit an RBI single to right field. He was later forced out at second base. Saggese flied out to right field in the sixth.
In his final at bat in the ninth, Saggese grounded out to the shortstop.
Bernal was 1-for-4 with a strikeout. He grounded into a force out in the first inning. The catcher grounded out to the pitcher in the fourth.
In the sixth, Bernal struck out looking. He singled on a fly ball to center field in the eighth in his final at bat of the game but was stranded at third base.
Bernal threw a runner out at second base in the second inning.
No other Cardinals saw action.
Glendale is 8-4 in the AFL season.
