On Wednesday, the Glendale Desert Dogs beat the Peoria Javelinas by the score of 6-4. D.J. Carpenter took over in a jam and threw 2/3 of an inning of relief. Travis Honeyman and Miguel Ugueto went a combined 0-for-9 with a walk.

Glendale Desert Dogs 6 at Peoria Javelinas 4
The Desert Dogs defeated the Javelinas in Peoria by a 6-4 score on Wednesday.
Three St. Louis Cardinals prospects played. Travis Honeyman hit second and played in center field. Miguel Ugueto played in left and batted ninth. Reliever D.J. Carpenter pitched 2/3 of an inning.
Honeyman went 0-for-4 with a walk and strikeout. In his first at bat, he flied out to left field. In the third, he grounded out to second.
Honeyman lined to second for the final out of the fourth inning. In the fifth, he walked but was stranded. Honeyman struck out swinging in the seventh.
Ugueto went 0-for-5 with a strikeout. He hit for the first time in the second inning and grounded out to the pitcher. In the fourth, he grounded out to the shortstop.
Ugueto reached on a fielding error in the fifth, and the sixth Glendale run scored. He grounded out to first in the seventh. Ugueto struck out looking in the ninth.
D.J. Carpenter entered the game in the bottom of the third, with one out on the board, runners on second and third and Peoria leading 2-1. The 6-foot-8 right-hander allowed a sac fly that scored the tying run. He then induced a ground out for the final out of the inning.
No other Cardinals saw action in the game.
The Desert Dogs are 2-3 on the season.
