The Scottsdale Scorpions walked off the Mesa Solar Sox 9-8 in Wednesday AFL action. Only one Cardinal, Victor Scott, appeared, scoring the winning run as a pinch runner in the ninth inning.

One Cardinal appeared in Wednesday’ walk off win over the Mesa Solar Sox in Scottsdale, but he played a key role. Victor Scott was sent in as a pinch runner in the ninth inning, and ultimately scored the winning run on a balk.
Scott was not in the starting lineup but entered in the ninth inning to pinch run for Scorpions teammate Jadiel Sanchez. Sanchez drew a walk with a man on second base. Scott advanced to second on a walk and later scored on a balk to end the contest.
Scottsdale is 4-4 on the season.
